tOfficial Super Bowl XLVIII Predictions Thread

Post by AlaskaHawks »

I always enjoy when a great defense plays a great offense. I know there is no real stopping of Manning and that offense, but if anyone can do it, I think the Hawks can (relatively) I look for the Hawks to be extremely physical with the Broncos, and especially Peyton if they can get there. A lot of utilizing the 5 yard bump zone, and lots of aggressive tackling/blocking etc. The Broncos defense sans Von Miller don't really scare me much, but the Hawks have been struggling. They will need to take some shots down field, and get Percy going early. Overall, I see a evenly matched back and forth slug fest.

I like the SeaHawks but I think the Broncos are winning this one. I actually like both teams so this Superbowl will be fun to watch.

A friend lives in Spokane so I'm sorta rooting for Seattle to win it. I don't despise either team, you've got the best offense vs. the best defense, and Peyton's been on this stage before in the postseason. Same for John Fox, although he lost the SB. I feel like their combined experience helps them here -

I think it won't be a good game because we've gotten so many great SBs lately... due for a bad one.

Hawks win this with extraordinary defense, particularly the D-line/linebacker crew who will shut down Moreno, which in turn will cause Peyton to attempt in the area of 40-50 passes, and will have 2-3 picks in doing so.....

Marshawn MVP...123 yards/2 TDs

Which team can continue to get away with more?

Seattle with clutching, grabbing and holding receivers on defense?
Or, Denver setting picks on nearly every play?

I think the physical nature of the defensive guys take precedence in that battle...

20-16 Hawks. I hope I am wrong. I think the weather will come into play. Hawks have a better running game than the Broncos.

Thought you only watched 57 seconds of the Hawks game.

Did Seattle play only 1 game this season?

Obviously not. They play different against each opponent though.

PS Sherman said "Hell of a game, Hell of a game" and offered his hand to Crabtree before Crabby hit Sherman in the face.

PS. I stand by my comments that Sherman's postgame antics were troll-like. Heck, he is even quoted as saying he does/says things that are contrived or calculated.

It wasn't the first time. It won't be the last time. He does a good job with it, so it's working.

Isn't he the only defensive player in the top 10 for jersey sales?

I wouldn't know.
