I'm getting a new car and your input will weigh heavily on my decision.
I can also answer questions if it helps.

1. It is a variable amongst many. So I care somewhat, but it is not an overriding concern.Robceltsfan wrote:Next set of questions:Bush4Ever wrote:1. YesRobceltsfan wrote:Questions:

I just find it inefficient to walk 15 miles to work in -40 degree weather.Cobra Kai wrote:lol at people who drive cars...I walk everywhere...girls compliment me on my upper leg muscles all the time when I'm wearing my jeans.

Toyota Corolla LE 2014. Nice looking car. Good gas mileage as it's only a 4 cylinder. Reverse view camera display.
$19,700 including a decent package of accessories.

Gas is one constant in life that is consistently variable. The one thing consistent about it is that it will always continue to go up in price.Bush4Ever wrote:1. It is a variable amongst many. MPG should be a huge priority for just about anyone.
That being said, a new car is the worst investment ever. Look at used.

I actually didn't mean variable in that sense. I meant it in a model/weighting sense.Shill Jackson wrote:[

I am also buying used for the reason you mentioned. I just want to make a thread, I guess.

I would say no to small sedans in your late 20s with a family. I know you suggested this based on his price range but good luck fitting anything in the back seat. Worth the extra $$$ to move up to a Camry as an investment for the future

The Camry is a significantly better vehicle than the Corolla. Or so I'm told.
Re: What type of car do you think I should get?
Yes we all here about how much a car depreciates after driving it off the lot but look at the difference in interest rates between new and used, especially when you can find new cars at 0%Shill Jackson wrote:Gas is one constant in life that is consistently variable.
