Talk about anything here.

... They are ALL expendable. there is no "keeper" on the Lakers. They should have begun rebuilding after 2010 and they would have been sitting pretty now.

But instead they continued to hang on to washed up Kobe, and acquire Dinousaurs like Nash, etc. They should have kept Howard and built around him.

The bulls should have taken that advice too.

We wouldn't be getting our future superstar if we did that. The basketball gods love the Lakers.

They should have begun rebuilding in the offseason after they won the championship for the second time in as many seasons?

That makes no sense.

This. Although I would move Marshall to the Keeper list.

That was the end of their run and everyone could see it . Well at least anyone who follows the game. Pau was already on the downhill side of his career as everyone could see.. Kobe was already 32 by then with 15 years in the league.

Bulls fans have great foresight, that's for sure.

Aren't you guys the 6x defending champions right now? At least according to what Bulls fans have been foreseeing?

This did the team in:

whether it was true or not, it was enough of a distraction. They went up against a Mavs team with absolute peak Dirk, and couldn't afford Gasol's bitchmade attitude and level of play that series.

That series was so sad. Handed away games 1-3 on a platter.

Lol that is funny that Bynum was the one asked about "trust issues on the team" and then he goes and sleeps with the Cavs' assistant coaches' wife.

Lakers PLAN:

Sign Bledsoe (poison pill contract), draft Embiid.

Nash deal expires.

Sign Love to max next offseason.

Bledsoe
Kobe
---
Love
Embiid.

(cap legal)

Win 5 consecutive titles.

Their final year winning it, it took Perkins going out for Boston giving up their rebounding age for the Lakers to essentially win it. When you begin to see your team struggling more and more to pull out big wins, I think its smarter to make changes while the player's stocks are still high instead of NOT making any changes and continuing to the downhill slope for the team so by the end the players Stocks have DRASTICALLY dipped. They could have gotten something big for Pau and someone would have taken Kobe (if they forced him out but the idiots gave him no trade-clauses on their contract)

The lakers did this to themselves because they have morons running the team that have no business doing so. 40 year old Nash, Holding on to Kobe for 25 mil a year? STUPID, illogical in every sense of the word.

Miami should have began rebuilding after last year as well. Their run ended last year. When you consider how much they STRUGGLED and how they are gradually going downhill as a team. They are gonna get swallowed up and beaten Down in the post season this year.

I don't think a healthy Perkins wins them the ship in 10 dude. Sheed replaced him and played well. KG had a rough game 7. I think it's easier to make the case that Boston repeats in '09 if KG never gets hurt than Perk costing them in '10.

Obviously you don't want to get complacent, but why would you trade core players after repeating? After 11 maybe you can trade Gasol (since his stock was still high and Phil left) but after 10? No way in hell. Kobe was also more valuable to the Lakers than to any other team at that point, trading him wouldn't make much sense.

In retrospect, the Nash trade was problematic, and the D'Antoni trade was foolish. If they kept Brown, I think Kobe-Pau-Dwight would've been more successful. Either way though, we're in the running for a draft pick now, so as long as we get a young stud, I'm not too worried.

Front office can't control untimely injuries which is what has cost the Bulls probably form winning 1'ship this far but Gar/Pax made some stupid moves of course like Signing Boozer to 15 mil a year. But they are doing the right thing now. Freeing up space to get that 2nd superstar to go along with Rose and Noah. So they will be fine. They aren't irrelevant and won't be for some time. They got a good young core of players with a great future

What makes you think Rose will be the player he was before? Even pre injury this year he was playing awful. Now add another injury on top of that? I'd be worried. The rebuild starts with dumping Rose.

Rose is young .. He'll rebound from this. It would be different if he was in his late 20s/early 30s.. They also get that one other superstar in which they are freeing up money for it will take the pressure off of Rose as well and prolong his career
