Not so sure about that.
Carter was doing his job. Sometimes, he'll be right, sometimes, he won't be. (in this case... it was one game and 60+ yards is fine... but worth the hub-hub?) Holding grudges every time an analyst says something less than flowery might inspire some guys to carry a chip on their shoulder... and that's fine.
But shoving random analysis back in the faces of the talking heads in a mean-spirited way when the initial observations were not in the same context... meh. I think it makes the players look petty, bitter and immature.
Grow a pair.
[Note: That being said, there are dozens of legit reasons to rip Chris Carter.]

Can't stand Carter. For as much adversity Carter went through, and overcoming his own personal demons with cocaine and alcohol addiction, you'd think he'd be more humble and receptive toward embracing those who overcame a resisted path to success as Baldwin himself has as an unheralded undrafted rookie free agent couple years ago.Incognito wrote:Glad someone posted this. I need the context of the original quote.
Because calling the Seattle WRs appetizers in the context of how you game-plan to beat Seattle... he's absolutely right. They are simply NOT up there with Lynch, Wilson and that defense.

He's a pretty good wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks. He played a vital role in the 49ers win in the NFC title game going for over 100 receiving yards, as well as setting up a score off a 70 yard KO return immediately following a 49er TD. Re: Seattle receiver Doug Baldwin destroys ESPN's Chris Cart
Baldwin is seriously underrated. I'm fine with that. I am glad he called Carter out. He disrespected Baldwin and all of Seattles receivers. Seattle is a run heavy offense. Look at Baldwin's stats with a grain of salt. Look how few times Wilson airs out the ball per game.
