A lot more?

Probably not a lot more. There's a good chance he can get a nice salary in 4 years from now as a FA, so the additional 5th year will not come back to hugely hurt him.

He'll probably make more if he takes 4 years with the TV deal the NBA will be getting.

I just don't see why Melo would pack up his wife / kids and move them to another city 3,000 miles away just to make less money playing for a bottom-feeder Lakers team, when he can keep his family comfortable in NY and make more money playing for a bottom-feeder.

This is clearly a case of overzealous Kobe Kids wishing and hoping for something that just isn't going to happen.

... and even IF Melo did join the Lakers, they would still suck because Chucky and Melo are the same players. They don't compliment each other, and LA would have nothing else except these two guys playing zero defense and chuckin' all the shots.

40 wins at best...

Dwight actually dresses like a clown... and is a clown... first round exit and bust when he thought he'd be successful in Houston... ouch.

You just owned yourself. He carried them to the playoffs, got hurt at the end of the regular season and thy got destroyed in the playoffs. Worst postseason and season in lakers history happens after he goes down, no coincidence.
