3 changes to improve the NBA game greatly

Post by Shill Jackson »

-Test for HGH
-Call three steps
-Call flops and give the other team a point for each one

Give a point no. Make it a tech. Just like in college. A tech and a personal foul.

Some will say call palming/carrying more strictly, but I don't mind as much.

I'd like elimination of defensive 3 seconds, but the league would never go for it.

The NBA doesn't need any more rule changes. Just ENFORCE the ones that they already have! Call Flops(like they said they were going to start doing), travel, Palming, carry, etc, etc.

Make it into what it is supposed to be, a sport that rewards Skill, not name recognition.

The NBA with all this Flopping has turned into the WWE!

Actually I find the WWE more entertaining at times.

Allow Boston and LA to become the premier franchises again.

Real changes:

- Get rid of defensive 3 seconds
- Stop calling so many flagrants and tech
- Get rid of the double technical
- Get rid of the restrictive circle

1) They are testing for HGH next season
2) They have called traveling far more than in past seasons--even Lebron has been called on it about 15 times this season--3 in one game.
3) That is a judgement call and 3 -4 players have already been fined twice for flopping --that is a $5000 penalty and it goes up from there.

2)They call traveling in the 5-8 step range
3)3-4 isn't enough. It is ridiculous. Immediate punishment is needed.

League announced they are testing for HGH-next season-- not sure of the "hold up"
2) Nobody will call traveling for anything other than an obvious violation --nor should they -and as note d-they have clued it way more than last year
3) even the coaches agree--flopping is not that easy a call and that won't change that much in the future--stronger penalties is possible.

Get rid of the one-and-done rule and let teams draft players out of HS. If they're good enough to land a spot on an NBA roster right away, let them. If they need 2-3 years of polishing in the D-League before getting called up to the majors, then so be it. The best 18-23 year old prospects would be better served practicing full time and going up against other top 18-23 year old prospects than facing watered down NCAA competition and wasting time/going through the motions in a college classroom.

disagree
NBA and college would both be better with a three year rule. The NBA was best when MEN played the game.

They should address the "continuation" problem.

A guy takes like 5 steps throws up the ball and they call continuation. The amount of length these plays go for while "continuation" is called is absurd.

yes indeed. a fine post.

if they are going to make nba ready players wait and force them into the ncaa, then start paying them. why people think the ncaa has some right to exploit these kids for millions and not give them a proper piece is beyond me.

So getting a free education is not enough. Should a player(s) be paid as much being on the second team of there team.

that's the first problem, it's not a free education. athletes of the big sports are working damn hard for it and it doesnt cover the entirety of the needs of the athlete. there is a gap those on 'full ride' scholarships still have to account for in thousands of dollars in living expenses. they are not getting equal value for their labor especially for football and bball.

how money could or should be divided is something that could be figured out. it's never stopped anyone before.
