Wilt is a few tiers above.

I'll be nice and say Jokic is 2nd though.

I can’t figure him out at all. He’s slower than dirt. He’s not athletic at all. Can’t jump for beans and isn’t particularly strong but nobody in the league can figure out how to guard him.

That isn't fair. He's not that slow and he has amazing handles for someone that big. His vision is absolutely incredible and he's by far the best passing big man in the history of the game. He's probably up there with Magic as the greatest passer period. He has fantastic post moves, deft touch, and you have to guard him out to 26 feet away from the bucket because he can make the 3. He can beat you in the post, the elbow, outside the arc and always with his passing. It's crazy how much he elevates other players' stats. A great example is Aaron Gordon. If you check his stats pre and post trade from Orlando, it is absolutely goofy how much more efficient Jokic has made him.

I haven't checked his 3 point % recently, but I saw the other day that he leads the league in heaves (shots from half court or longer, almost always trying to beat the buzzer) by a wide margin, having already taken 20 of them.

The guy is a freak.

29.7/12.8/10.2
57.5%/41.6%/80.3%

Leads the league in PER.
Leads the league in BPM.
Leads the league in VORP.
Leads the league in OWS.
3rd in Points
4th in Rebounds
2nd in Assists
2nd in STEALS

And this guy is NOT currently the odds on favorite to win the NBA MVP.

And he's doing all that with only the 15th highest usage percentage in the league.

Sick.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

And 20 3 point attempts from over half court (made 2) so not exactly concerned about his stats, at least not shooting percentage. Goofy.

It's voter fatigue and SGA will get it. SGA is having a helluva season, but there's still no way anyone but Jokic should win it. That team is such dogshit without him.

Wilt is the best, followed by Kareem.

Sadly, he's on pace to be just another empty-stat guy if he doesn't start Winning.

Without the 3 point line, no. Today's game, well, yes.

His passing dimension makes this an obvious yes.

With respect to three-point vs. non, his 2pt+ since his first MVP is 118. Kareem's in the 70s was 120.

He's probably not *quite* as skilled at close-to-basket scoring (relative to era) as either Kareem or Shaq, but he's light years beyond them from deep as well as passing (although both were good passers for the time, for position).

If my mother had wheels, she'd be a streetcar. Who cares? There is a 3 point line and he can score from damn near anywhere on the floor. His post game is grossly underrated as well. He doesn't have the brute strength of Shaq (although he definitely is strong), but the array of nifty post moves and finishes with spins, finger rolls and so on is goofy if you pay attention.

He got over the hump once to win a title but that front office has just been brutal, almost on the level of the Minnesota franchise and how they surrounded KG. Not quite that bad, but not far. Can you imagine him with a core remotely close to what it is in OKC, or Cleveland or any other contender? Take SGA off of OKC and add in Jokic, they win more games. Take Tatum off Boston and add Jokic, they win more games. Take almost anyone off any team and replace them with Jokic (and maybe a modest roster change for the fact you are adding a C and losing a different position player) and you are winning more games and become a true contender.

Hell, take Embiid off the Sixers, and you aren't fighting for ping pong balls, you are fighting for 60 plus wins.

Lol. Sorry to pick on your Sixers Phuture, but it's true. He literally would have you contenders overnight.

Double reported.

You're right though, honestly. I don't think we will ever see a fully healthy Embiid again, as sad as that is for me.

You know as well as I do, if it comes down to a random NBA game vs a random NHL game what game I am going to watch.
