Anthony Edwards seems to be the alternate universe palette swap version of TDK.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you but this is a put-down on MJ, he's saying Jordan was as successful as he was because he was guarded by plumbers and substitute teachers.

I wasn't clear. I meant alternate universe and palette swap as two different elements.kobeunderbite wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2024 10:43 am Maybe I'm misunderstanding you but this is a put-down on MJ, he's saying Jordan was as successful as he was because he was guarded by plumbers and substitute teachers.

Yes everyone, the only way to know if a three-pointer went in the basket vs. outside the basket was to watch the game as it was happening.

Imagine ripping on an entire Era when you never watched one second of it... I mean, it's not like AE is quoting the NBA Commissioner, the NBA VP of Ops, and numerous players and coaches from the old-school era, amirite... 'cause THEN his opinion would have a ton of merit and credibility.
How sad when a current player tries to tear down other Eras (with zero justification) simply because they're so insecure about their own.

Jfc.
If it was as big as it is now then they would have adjusted and shot just as well or better than now. Not hard to comprehend

The fact that you didn't understand Bush's point and hyper-focused on the specific example he gave is not surprising to anyone here.elartman1973 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2024 2:44 pmBecause 3 pointer are the only real measure of skillBush4Ever. wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2024 12:55 pm Yes everyone, the only way to know if a three-pointer went in the basket vs. outside the basket was to watch the game as it was happening.

The point is that the game is the game is the game, dummy. It's not like the actual nature of reality changes watching something on tape vs. real-time.
That's why coaches utilize game tapes FROM THE PAST for scouting and planning purposes.
They don't watch games from dozens of teams per night in REAL TIME.

Larry Bird curbstomped Jordone every time he played him. It doesn’t matter if he was skilled or not.
W for the BWGC.

And Jordan stomped the fuck out the SuperFaggots to the point they no longer exists as a franchise.zombiesonics wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2024 2:51 pmLarry Bird curbstomped Jordone every time he played him. It doesn’t matter if he was skilled or not.

Anyone with a Stathead Pro account that can see the whole Game Logs section to see the Win/Losses? I can only see the first 10 entries.

Bird vs. Jordan, head-head (RS and Playoffs - 34 games):zombiesonics wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2024 2:51 pmLarry Bird curbstomped Jordone every time he played him. It doesn’t matter if he was skilled or not.

Legend: 27.0 / 8.6 / 6.7 / 1.4 / 0.9
GOAT: 34.6 / 6.2 / 5.8 / 2.6 / 1.2
Games with better stats than the other player:
Lary Legend vs. the GOAT
10 games - Points - 23 games
23 games - Rebounds - 6 games
17 games - Assists - 14 games
6 games - Steals - 22 games
9 games - Blocks - 15 games
(Both had same stat 1 game, 4 games, 3 games, 6 games and 10 games, respectively)
Clearly Bird's "teams" were vastly superior to MJ's the majoity of the time; however equally as clear, Jordan was the superior player:

Zombie and the BWGC completely ruined.

Re: "[Michael Jordan] was the only one that really had skill, you know what I mean?"
Jordan had a CRUSHINGLY superior team to Bird in 1990 and 1991, and went 4-4 against him over that time span.
The teammates excuse is very old, boring, and demonstrably false.
Bird was better with better teammates, but he was also equal to Jordan (1990 and 1991) with significantly worse teammates AND wildly outside his prime AND with Jordan in his prime
