Anybody else notice an influx of teenagers with ‘80s mullets?

Post by zombiesonics »

What’s up with all these zoomers with mullets and George Michael earrings? Anybody else notice this?

Every zoomer at my gym looks like Rob Lowe from St. Elmo’s Fire.

I honestly haven’t seen this even once. Maybe it’s a Seattle area trend?

I’ve seen kids rock it at my daughter’s school. But I figured it was just a dumbass Idaho thing.

But relatedly, I've developed a love of women with pompadour styled hair.

Could possibly be a West Coast trend.

I’ve also seen a shit ton of early 2000s nu-metal style among zoomers. There was even an NYT article on it.

It’s big in Utah.

Also buzzing your hair and bleaching it like Slim Shady. That’s everywhere here.

My nephew plays varsity baseball and literally he and every other white guy on the team has sported this look since at least freshman season. Not just his team, so many of these white HS baseball players around SoCal do this. Half of them are named Riley or Cody no cap.

I'm tired of seeing the broccoli hair style on teenage boys for the last few years so I'm ready to see anything else. I haven't seen mullets around here yet, but I did have a glorious mullet back in the day.

My son was playing basketball last year and each team had 10 kids. This was 7 and 8 year olds. One of the team's had 3 boys all named August. But yeah, pretty much every boy is now Cole, Mason, Crosby, Oliver, Owen etc. No one names their kid Kevin or Jason any more.
