Just realized the Pacers got CRUSHED by the Giannis/Lillard-less Bucks...

Post by thedangerouskitchen »

How do you allow a team to massacre you when they're missing their 2 best players???

...or is this just another example of how mediocre today's product is?

:noidea:

"Lebron doesn’t guard for a full game and our game plan was to get him to play defense and he left me open all game."

It means the league is filled with so much talent that even the 7th, 8th, 9th guys down the roster can step up and be great contributors.

Deepest. League. Ever.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

Um, yeah... I don't think so.

Looking at it from a historical perspective the Pacers reek of mediocrity (at best)... but still, that's no excuse for losing to a team that's without their two (2) superstars.

Its not just the NBA that is so deep. So is the NHL. It the players from the rest of the world that are making these leagues great.

The Bucks trotted out a lineup that included:

> a 3-time All-Star
> a 3-time All-Defense
> a 1-time All-Star & 2-time All-Defense

Plus Bobby Portis and Pat Connaughton....both major rotation guys on the Bucks 2021 title team.

Yes, that's minus their two best players.

That proves that unlike the watered down, expansion, garbage 90's, NBA rosters today have actual depth.

It's definitely the deepest it's ever been. That's why you see guys who are normal rotation bench players or a less known starter step up and pour in 30+ when one of the star players is out.

I almost feel like how the NFL saying is any given Sunday....the NBA has any given night...someone unexpected steps up and has a great scoring night. Every team has these guys now and it's happening regularly, even in the playoffs.

Portis and Middleton would be top 5, top 10 at worst in the 1990s.

This is also why the super team era is over. Today’s NBA is so deep that stacking your roster with big name all-stars and surrounding them with scrubs doesn’t work anymore.

Here’s an article that breaks it down.
