Sunday I was alone for the afternoon and wanted to be lazy, so I went to order Red Lobster from Uber Eats, and it was outrageously expensive for a standard salmon+brussel sprouts+rolls type meal.

I know a part of that is service charges, delivery, and that nonsense, but the core meal was like 35 dollars or so even before that. I understand fresh fish is expensive but damn.

When I was back in Michigan we had a Red Lobster about a mile from our house. My wife and I would go there at least once or twice a week and tear that shit up. Food was always brought to you piping hot and it was good. Since I've been in Virginia for 10 years I've probably eaten there maybe 5 or 6 times. Like most chain restaurants it seems to have taken a few steps backwards.

Everything I’ve heard said that it was due to their unlimited shrimp campaign

Red Lobster is fine for what it is (ie; a franchise seafood joint); however RELATIVE TO the quality of food they serve (which isn't "bad" per se), it's waaaaay over-priced; therefore I only frequent when out of town and not familar with the local seafood establishments.

I think some of the items were priced alright. Some with serving size, overpriced, by a lot. I thought the lobster tail was reasonable with entree.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a red lobster. Thought they were just a myth like the cornucopia in the fruit of the loom logo and Outback Steakhouse

I've not only seen Red Lobsters in Hawaii, but I can confirm that they have better tasting seafood than any place in Hawaii to eat.

I rarely leave my island and there aren’t any here. If I do, it’s usually Alaska or International

Lol I have never been further west than Texas. I'm a homebody.

I plan on visiting Hawaii though eventually.
