If you wanted to be more statistically correct, you would simply subtract the difference on a number line for a series.

Cavs in 4---Cavs in 5---Cavs in 6---Cavs in 7---Magic in 7---Magic in 6---Magic in 5---Magic in 4

And then sum with the lowest score winning.

A person who picks Magic in 7 while the Cavs win in 7 is closer than the person who picks Cavs in 5 as a statistical reality, and it should be reflected in the scoring system.
