Much closer to the latter than the former, at the NBA-level. He's born in the wrong era for his physical attributes and game. Absolutely zero from the outside, and poor lateral movement/quickness would make a lot of modern defensive responsibilities a real challenge circa 2024. His great work around the rim offsets that to some degree, but not enough to be more than maybe a mid-back rotation player at best.

Usually, "mega-bigs" are more susceptible to the college vs. NBA differences, since mega-bigs are much more scarce in the population....college play will usually spread them out to the point they aren't playing comparable peers very much, whereas the NBA filter (all college teams vs. 30 NBA teams) filters it such that they are going to be playing comparable peers pretty much every night.

Someone will take a shot on him, IMO very late in the first round. Maybe early second round. I'd be surprised if someone took him in a prized draft slot.
