Post by kobeunderbite »

Imagine a massive 7'1" mongoloid who was also the best passer in the league and could bury threes from 40 feet with a hand in his face playing in the 90s. He would average 60/30/20. The talent level is light-years ahead of the 80s and 90s. These guys make basketball look easy.

TIL Michael Jordan was a 7'1" mongoloid.

There are like 15 players in the league currently better than peak Jordan. You love to see it!

Players today are essentially playing a different sport. The worst players in the league today would be some of the most skilled in the 90's. Kyle Kuzma would be a superstar.

The sheer amount of :bullshit2: oozing from this thread is quite hilarious.

The real spin here is this: Imagine how WEAK a league must be when some soft, white, non-athletic, 7-foot mongoloid is considered the best Passer AND the 'go-to' option for a one-in-a-million desperation half-court shot. The closest I can think of is the 50's with George Mikan.

It's hilarious to think of how much more skill and ability Jokic has than the slow moving, slow witted centers of the 90s who could barely hit their free throws let alone a three. Jokic is infinitely better at basketball than any of them. The sport evolved and left the dinosaurs behind. This is by far the strongest era of all-time, there has never been a fraction of the talent before.

Michael Jordan got raped and humiliated repeatedly by soft white guys like Bill Laimbeer and Larry Bird.

The fact you don't appreciate Jokic's greatness and how superior his overall skill set is to any big man who played in your "glory days" speaks volumes about your biases. His ability to score from deep, the post, the elbow, put it on the deck and his unparalleled passing ability for a big has never been seen in one package in the history of the sport. He is also an excellent rebounder and an underrated defender. His supporting cast is marginal compared to many other stars today, but he still gets it done.

The talent level today absolutely dwarfs the 90s by a country mile. You are just too blinded by your biases to see it.

C'mon bro.. you can troll better than that.

:L

Also... Jokic is a Center in "name" only because traditional basketball Centers played in/around the hoop, which is why they weren't chuckin' 3's in the 80's and 90's. Jokic would get completely destroyed from 15 feet in (as a Center in the 80's /90's) against the likes of Jabbar, Parish, Malone, Ewing, Dream, Robinson, etc., etc.

Just because the Center position is soft as butter today doesn't make the today's Bigs "better". Different times, different rules, different style, different game.

Who said I didn't appreciate his greatness, meatball.

Different times, different style, different rules, different game does NOT automatically = "better" you old fool.

:L

Jokic would get his ass kicked beyond recognition if he was playing the traditional Center position against the great Bigs in the past.

I mean, imagine this slow, soft non-athletic white dude trying to keep up with Dream, Robinson, Ewing or Habbar down low. They'd literally eat him alive.

No, they wouldn't. Jokic is a very underrated post defender and he isn't getting moved. Ewing isn't worth one fine hair on Jokic's ass. Jokic only needs to guard those guys twelve feet from the rim and in. They have to defend him to the 3 point line and beyond. He's stealing their lunch money way more often than they are stealing his.

So what you retard? It's not like those centers would have a choice. They would have to guard him out to the 3 point line. They can't just stay 10 feet and in from the hoop. You are just so fucking stupid.

Imagine guys like Shaq, Ewing, Zo or Mutombo having to guard the opposing center 24 feet from the rim......exposing the interior to spacing and taking away their one strength defensively.

It would be game over.

That TDK doesn't get this simple fact makes me shake my head. Shaq guarding the screen and roll from the 3 point line. Are you freaking kidding me?

STHU meatball... so now Jokic is better than the all-time great Centers in the post / around the rim in an era where Centers hardly play in the post / around the rim???

Again: You wonder why you're a meatball.

:L

... and FTR Jokic MISSES 65% of his shots from 3 and only averages 2-3 long-range attempts per game, dope... you act like he's Steph Curry out there.

Get a grip on reality.
