That core isn't good enough to win a banner. Not in today's NBA with a multitude of stacked teams.elartman1973 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 1:37 pmThats the plan...it's pretty obviousSudanese Sensation wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 1:35 pmBush needs to account for the possibility/probability that the core of Jalen, Franz, and Paolo will be the cornerstone of the Magic for years.

What the fuck is wrong with you OBSESSED losers?
Are you that triggered that I was right all along?
The best players are still years away from their primes. Not 1 or 2 or even 3 years but more like 5 or 6 .it's not a one year window dumbfucks. They will be better every season and on pace for 50+ as is
Grow up.
Theres many teams you can be bashing this season. The magic are definitely not among them.
Facts
If they are 'ahead of schedule,' how many wins were they then scheduled for this season, after 34 last season?

And have the most money in the NBA to spend in the offseason.
Keep up.

Yet you were all over the boards stroking Joker's stick for leading Denver to a Championship despite playing with (alleged) lackluster talent.vcsgrizzfan wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 2:00 pmThat core isn't good enough to win a banner. The Joker needs talent around him. Jamaal Murray is an an All-Star. However he is so good that you don't need super high level talent all around him. In any case Paolo, Franz, or Jalen aren't in the Joker's area code.thedangerouskitchen wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 1:54 pmYet you were all over the boards stroking Joker's stick for leading Denver to a Championship despite playing with (alleged) lackluster talent.vcsgrizzfan wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 2:00 pmThat core isn't good enough to win a banner. STFU fatso and stop acting like the Magic's roster is full of PROVEN all star level talent and CONSISTENTLY productive role-players. They're not... not even close. In fact Paolo and Franz are the only two guys who have actually performed at a level where you could say with a fair amount of confidence that they're capable of being cornerstones on a Championship team. The rest of the roster is full of complete unknowns with respect to what they "could" or "might" develop into.
Put down the bong or the blunt and come back to reality, fool.

You take leaps from "solid" to "great" on the back of superstars.
The Magic have no superstars, but have a healthy amount of C+ to B level talent.
Historically, that's almost always been associated with a ceiling that's capped way below the championship level.
And of course, anyone who develops into a superstar is going to GTFO at the first opportunity. The Magic will have to develop a superstar talent in a non-contract year to actually get that value.

Any thoughts on fatty's assertion that the Magic have "more money to spend" than any other team this summer, whatever he believes that to mean?
Which superstars do you predict Orlando will sign?

Jokic is in his 9th season though... Paolo, Franz and Jalen haven't hit their peak yet (or so you'd have to believe that, since they're still so young).Sudanese Sensation wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 1:59 pmThe Joker needs talent around him. Regardless, Denver winning last year just throws grizz' statement out the window... as you do not need a stacked team to win a Championship in this era. That was my point. The 2022 Warriors weren't really "stacked" either, nor the 2021 Bucks.

No matter how much money can be spent, it's rendered irrelevant because it's ran through the requirement of having to live in Orlando for a number of years.
10 times 0 = 0.
10,000 times 0 is still 0.
Framed another way and perhaps more relevant to Artman himself, a 500 pound man who can spend 2,500 dollars in a whorehouse is going to get much less attention than a 180 pound stud who only has 2,000 dollars.

Thanks for the thorough explanation. I suppose that would cover why the Magic have not signed a star free-agent in over 20 years.

They have a chance to turn things around against the Nuggets.
