MLB 2024 Season Discussion Thread

Post by kobeunderbite »

Correct Team = 4 Points
Total $ within $25 million = 3 points
Total $ within $50 million = 1 point
AAV within 3 million = 3 points
AAV within 6 million = 1 point
Correct opt-out clause = bonus point

I say New York Mets, 11-years $500 million ($45.4m AAV), opt-out after 3-years :suds:

"Yamamoto dominated an offensive-challenged league..."

Not for nothing but that's like fans getting excited about the Offensive stats of today's NBA players, who play in a no contact/soft Defensive era.

Most Japs come over to MLB and their stuff translates fine. Their numbers will never be AS good but there's no reason the stuff won't play in MLB. Plus Japanese pitching shut team USA down in humiliating fashion in the WBC.

Fair enough... how'd Ohtani do pitching-wise in Japan. Just curious.

2.52 ERA in 5 seasons in Japan, 3.01 ERA in 5 seasons in MLB

Feels like he's the Dodgers to lose.

Hearing he's a lock to go back to the Mets.

10 years/400 million are the rumored numbers.
