Come on fatso... with your considerable wealth and deep pockets you can easily afford to drop 5-10 grand on the Magic, especially since it's a "sure thing" wager.

At least Arty can do the decent thing and at least match your bet on his team. I didn't think you gambled.vcsgrizzfan wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2023 11:42 am Screenshot_20231004_094131_bet365.jpg

I believe I have an edge in the market. I've proven that over a very long career. Not so much in sports betting, especially since there is a considerable vigorish in sports betting. So my betting on sports is sporadic and small.PhutureDynasty wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2023 12:56 pmGrizz is a big finance / stock market guy I believe so not surprised he also bets.Da Stars. wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2023 12:51 pmAt least Arty can do the decent thing and at least match your bet on his team. The stock market is essentially gambling so I am not surprised that you partake in sports betting. Even if it's just a little.
I am gonna hop in on some over/unders for some NBA teams myself.

Didnt read after your first lie where you said I claimed....thedangerouskitchen wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2023 10:14 am I agree artman should put his money where his great big mouth is, for once in his pathetic life anyway.
Let's look at the facts:
1) Artman claims he makes upwards of $170k per year at his job and and selling his artwork
2) Artman claims he has 6-figures worth of stock investments
3) Artman claims he has a 6-figure (maybe 7-figure?) inheritence waiting for him once his mom dies
4) Artman no doubt has a pretty hefty bank account (based on his annual income claim)
5) Going against Vegas' take on the Magic is a "sure thing" according to artman... and a 'sure thing' is NOT a "gamble"
So with that, there is NO REASON why artman shouldn't put $10k on his beloved Magic this year... and even IF (by some fluke) he loses, it would be no big deal for a man of artman's considerable wealth and deep pockets. I mean, losing $10k to artman would be like tipping a waitress 50% instead of the customary 25%. Chump change for him, basically.
So yeah: Go for it artman. You have literally nothing to lose except some table scraps.
I never claimed jack shit..thats YOUR fabricated number

The stock market can be "essentially gambling" and it is for most amateurs. No different from speculation on crypto or other themes of the day.PhutureDynasty wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2023 2:25 pmOf course.vcsgrizzfan wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2023 1:48 pmI believe I have an edge in the market. It isn't gambling if you approach it scientifically. I never purchase securities in companies who's valuation I can't make sense from their ability to generate the cash flows necessary to justify that valuation.
Doesn't mean I'm always right. I'm not. And for long periods, you can go unrewarded in the wrong type of market. But eventually arithmetic always wins and if you have the stones to stick with what you know is right, you are rewarded.

Typical gutless coward response from fatso... you don't even have $300 to spare (to match grizz) for what you claim is a "sure thing" wager.elartman1973 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2023 4:11 pmBet 10k on trump first or shut upthedangerouskitchen wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2023 12:18 pm Come on fatso... with your considerable wealth and deep pockets you can easily afford to drop 5-10 grand on the Magic, especially since it's a "sure thing" wager.

And this is the era of the NBA that's supposed to be vastly superior to any era we've ever seen.
... this guy wouldn't make a college roster back in the 80's - 00's, but today he's a #1 pick in the NBA.
