Is that James Harden's best playoff moment?

Post by PhutureDynasty »

I ask sincerely. This isn't a troll thread.

He has a reputation (somewhat rightfully so) of being a player who doesn't carry you come playoff time like he can in the regular season.

Well the man just dropped 45 points and 6 assists on 56+% shooting and 50% from deep against the defending Eastern Conference champs who have a plethora of great defenders they can throw at him at any moment.

Plus he did it without Joel Embiid on the floor so they could focus on him almost solely.

What say you?

He did some things pretty well on the basketball court in last night’s contest, IMHO.

The injury is worse than hoped but I expect him to be back by game 3 at worst.

Man made the WCF. I'd assume he had one but apparently not.

Seems like this game is the answer.

I'm not sure if it was Harden's "best" playoff moment or not, and I didn't watch the game of course; however after reading the description of his performance (in the OP) I couldn't help but think back to how that was exactly what Playoff life in the NBA was like for the GOAT Michael Jordan during his first 5-6-7 years in the league... ie; entire Defenses focused soley on try to stop him, yet the GOAT still completely dominated the opposition in (often times) unprecedented fashion.

Now granted, Harden (even without Embiid) has more help around him than MJ did during his first 3-4 years in the league, and of course these Celtics don't measure up to the Larry Legend Dynasty Celts (who MJ went up against in his early years) but regardless, it would appear Harden did his "best" GOAT Jordan impersonation last night.

Props to him for that!

:haha2:

That is one of the favorite Kobe Bryant moments ever.

The Matt Barnes ball fake with no reaction might be #1 for me though.

Agreed, the ball fake is #1. Not even a tiny flinch. Alpha.

Kobe wasn't even in front of Barnes on that play. Watch it from the overhead angle.

Free your mind to the eternal truths bros.

Edit: Yes, Game 1 was Harden's best playoff moment to date.
