Simply beautiful

Post by elartman1973 »

Never heard this version...it totally surprises at 4:11

Beautiful guitar solo...

Not out of touch..good music isn't hidden away in drawers forever, as all the music those calling me out of touch currently listen to will no doubt end up

Is that what passed as good music back in your day?

A riff that a child can whip up in FL Studio in minutes now.

Here's the lyrics:
Here I am again in this mean old town
And you're so far away from me
And where are you when the sun go down?
You're so far away from me
You're so far away from me
So far I just can't see
You're so far away from me
You're so far away from me, alright
I'm tired of bein' in love and bein' all alone
When you're so far away from me
I'm tired of makin' out on the telephone
'Cause you're so far away from me
You're so far away from me
You're so far I just can't see
You're so far away from me
You're so far away from me, alright
And I get so tired when I have to explain
When you're so far away from me
See you've been in the sun and I've been in the rain
And you're so far away from me
You're so far away from me
You're so far I just can't see
You're so far away from me
You're so far away from me, take it down
So far away from me
Oh, you're so far away from me
Yeah, you're so far away from me
So far away from me
You're so far... and you're so far away from me
You're so far... so far away from me
You're so far away from me
So far away from me
You're so far... so far away from me
So far away from me
You're so far... so far away from me
Alright
You're so far... you're just so far away from me
Jesus :L

It has zero to do with lyrics.
As an instrumental it still blows away your shit.
Let's not make light of the facts that the lyrics clearly go over your head

You focusing on the lyric proves 100000% how you have no taste whatsoever in good music

And you think my day was when I was 13?

You missed the first part of my critque. There is absolutely nothing impressive about the instrumentals in that song.

11 year old children make more complex melodies now:

You missed the part of actually appreciating the song instead of instantly desperately trying to bash everything about it.
It's a beautiful song with beautiful guitar playing.

Is that so difficult to admit for you or is your musical taste really that terrible?

Don't ever try comparing a computer program to actual instruments and real musicians

You're clueless as fuck

I'm sure it was considered a good song back in your day, which was my original point. But like most songs from the 60s/70s/80s it simply doesn't stand the test of time.

As technology has increased, our understanding of what is possible and therefore what is "good" has also increased.

The amount of music available to the general public in the 60s/70s/80s was incredibly limited and mostly localized outside of mainstream music.

Mozart and Beethoven were considered geniuses and the pinnacle of orchestration in their time, but now their music is some of the first things children learn to play. Hans Zimmer dwarfs both of them in talent and execution.

You seem to think any music that wasn't made in the same year is not good ...You're a moron.

There's more shitty music made and oroduced now than ever before. And suckers like you thinking mints good is the reason for it.
You're trying to bash music from an era where it actually was and still is good and wasn't watered down by countless wannabes that have zero skill or talent.
Technology has nothing to do with music being good or bad..it hyst makes it generic and monotone and soulless..like you.
But you're a gut who only listens to rap so why am I wasting time with you.. you'll never get it

Total garbage. Generic 4 chord progression. Cheesy vocal style singing basic melodies and cringe lyrics.

Todays music shits all over this.

How would you know when you obviously didn't even listen to it.
It's over your jizzhead anyways.
The live grateful dead similarity you wouldn't understand either...

Most of the music nowadays is forgettable garbage, basically the late 2000's to now is mostly all trash. Having said that, the song in artman's post is god awful.

Here I am again in this swampy old town
And the table’s so far away from me
And when I’m eatin’ until the sun go down
The table’s so far away from me
The table’s so far away from me
So far I just can't see
The table’s so far away from me
The table’s so far away from me, alright
I'm tired of bein' obese and bein' all alone
The table’s so far away from me
I'm tired of sweatin' out in this humid home
'Cause the table’s so far away from me
The table’s so far away from me
The table’s so far I just can't see
The table’s so far away from me
The table’s so far away from me, alright
And my autism compels me, so I have to explain
When the table’s so far away from me
See you're chillin in the sun and I'm sweating in the rain
And the table’s so far away from me
The table’s so far away from me
My feet are hidden, I just can't see
The women keep so far away from me
They keep so far away from me, make it brown
So far away from me
Oh, the table’s so far away from me
Yeah, the table’s so far away from me
So far away from me
