Where were you when this happened?

I was soooooo mad at the first half hole we were in, I remember Samaki Walker's shot after the buzzer that counted gave me some belief. And after Horry's shot dropped in, pure elation.

No sweeter highlight from this run than Kobe's elbow to Bibby's ugly mug

Because it was that guy, coming from our guy, in that moment, it was the perfect orgasm.

I was at the game blunted out of my mind in some nose bleed sections. I was with my college roommate Chris and my coworker Brandon. Me and Brandon worked in the domestics section of Robinson May which was right by customer service therefore it was right by ticket master. Back in the day there was no online ticket ordering it was either done in person or over the phone. I remember they released some tickets for the game and since I was low key dating Alicia in customer service she hooked it up.

Amazing game.

Were you not a big basketball fan then?

I was really freaking out that the Lakers would lose this series as a kid. That was probably the height of my 'fan rage' stage. The following season I broke the lightswitch in my room in a fit of rage after the Lakers lost to the Pistons. My Mom still gives me a hard time about that.

I was a huge basketball fan but I was on my mission so I wasn't paying much attention to anything else.

Did you pick right back up with everything when it ended?

Have you ever heard an announcer be drowned out this totally like Marv Albert was on the call?

Yeah pretty much.

I always feel out of it when people talk about the 2002 playoffs because I had no idea.

Either of those teams would beat the 2022 Magic by 20-30 points a game, despite all the advancements in the game since then.
