Just called Old Man Johnny.

Meat Day is always on Veteran's Day to celebrate the old guy's service. Not this year. Dammit.

He's laying low to try to avoid the virus.

I guess I'm not following you. We enjoy many beers and a lot of meat. And this triggers you? Why? Are you a girl?

For a few years, we hit Fogo De Chao. More recently, other steak joints. Or burgers.

I think we had pizza for dessert once.

Whiskey and/or red wine with meat only.

No breads, pastas, potatoes, fucking pizza, or carb heavy beers.

Meat = protein

Steaks, sausages, bacon, chops, etc. Get your shit together, Abe!

LNS doesn't like beer. Fair enough.

But why so angry about not liking beer?

I love beer.

But on a day set aside to devour nothing but meat you should avoid needless carbs. :suds:

Meh.

To be fair, when it was at Fogo De Chao, we did do more booze. We always started with a caipirinha or two, or as Old Man Johnny calls it "lime salad." And then some wine during lunch. And I'd always finish it off with a bottled Coca Cola. Best soda I'd have all year.

Once we stopped going to Fogo and started hitting more burgers and breweries... beer became more of a staple for the day.

A big and sincere thank you to you Denali, Riley, ripper, AI....as well as any and all who have sacrificed in service to this country. Whether we align politically, or any other fashion or not.
