Quintana signs with some team for 1 year $4m. Seems like the Mets could have used that depth.

Yeah I'm not going to lie I'd much rather Quintana than Paul Blackburn. He was an absolute dog down the stretch. But on an objective level his metrics weren't favorable and he's headed for some pretty meaningful regression in all likelihood.
I do wish we had signed Buehler over Montas

Can't defend Stearns on this one, this seems flat-out retarded. The ultimate fan favorite couldn't even get a minor league deal but the team took fliers on fucking Nick Madrigal and Dominic Walton? Makes zero sense at all.

Yeah this seems like a steal for Prellar.kobeunderbite wrote: ↑Thu Mar 06, 2025 5:59 am Can't defend Stearns on this one, this seems flat-out retarded. Eagles highlights, football off-season news, the upcoming NFL draft, and baseball will get me through the misery that has been this Sixers season.
@KUB, do you want to do an avatar bet on more regular season wins this year between the Phillies and Mets? I am feeling confident today about the Phillies despite realizing your Mets are a real threat.

I'm thinking 2 weeks. No distasteful avatars from either party. I trust that you won't cross any lines and I obviously won't either.

I'm down. Tbh I'd prefer 'whichever team makes it farther' to regular season wins but your call.

I'm interested. If we are both are eliminated in the same round but not to one another, how would you like to handle that tiebreak?kobeunderbite wrote: ↑Thu Mar 06, 2025 3:17 pm I'm down. Tbh I'd prefer 'whichever team makes it farther' to regular season wins but your call.
More regular season wins? More wins in the series they lost?

Re: 2025 MLB Regular Season Discussion Thread
I would go with the head to head record
Re: 2025 MLB Regular Season Discussion Thread
Playoff advancement with regular season as tiebreaker makes sense.

Works for me.
So the bet is further advancement in this upcoming season's playoffs, with head to head record being the tiebreak if we're eliminated in the same round or if we both somehow don't make the playoffs.
No distasteful or obscene avatars bla bla bla.
Deal?

Cole is going to be coming back at almost 36 and Judge will be almost 35. The Yankees window is closing if not closed.

That is a huge loss. He's probably done until the 2027 season, or halfway through next season at best correct?kobeunderbite wrote: ↑Tue Mar 11, 2025 3:31 am Cole is going to be coming back at almost 36 and Judge will be almost 35. The Yankees window is closing if not closed.
