Sorry but voting for Mikan is flat out stupid. How the hell does he beat out a lot of those guys? Bob Pettit should be over Mikan. Mikan has rings and that's the only thing he has on Pettit. Pettit is my vote OP

Oh, so influence, PER and Win Shares among the greatest players ever means nothing to you?

Fair enough.
Take all things into account. stats, rings, etc. I find it quite sad that Mikan has as many votes as he does over Pettit when it shouldn't be close.

10th all-time in points, likely to move into top 7-8.
9th all-time in win shares.
8th all-time in offensive win shares.
1x MVP, FMVP, Champion.
15 consecutive seasons of 17.5-26.6 PPG and counting.
One of six players who achieved a 50-40-90 season.
Led Mavs to playoffs in 13 of 14 seasons and counting.
12x All-Star.
12x All-NBA Team.
One of four players with playoff career average of 25 ppg and 10 rpg.
One of eleven players to have been NBA Champion, NBA regular season MVP, NBA Finals MVP and a 10× NBA All-Star.
Dirk has been very good for a very long time, which in my opinion puts him above a couple of select players who may have had a more impactful peak. Dirk is also one of the most clutch performers in NBA history, with a long track record of producing in elimination games in particular.
It should be noted that I am aware that Malone beats Dirk in several of these categories, but Dirk will close the gap on or surpass Malone in most within 2 seasons. Malone's 0 rings are the decider for me here ultimately, and more specifically his inability to step up in big games vs Dirk's knack for upping his game in the playoffs. Malone is also a terrible human being.
I can't recall one time that the Media slammed Malone for:
For the record I think Pettit's 60-61 season when he put up 27.9ppg and 20.3rpg was more impressive then his 61-62 31.1 18.7rpg season. That's just me though.

The people who haven't voted are likely not going to vote anyway. If this were a two horse race I would agree that Mikan's lead is marginal, but this is a 7 horse race. A lead by 4 or 5 when put into that greater context is pretty substantial, and not likely to be overcome.
