Not that hard to believe. Centers being a focal point for championship success went away somewhere during The Bush Jr Administration.

Luc Longley and Bill Cartwright were the winningest centers of the ‘90s. Javale is in prestigious company.

Not to derail anything, but Bill Cartwright wasn't that bad a player. He averaged 17 a game on 55% shooting over 8 years with the Knicks before joining the Bulls. His role there changed to really be just a defender and screen setter but he wasn't a stiff. The guy who is ALWAYS underrated on that first 3 peat team is Horace Grant. He was a really good player who complimented MJ and Pippen perfectly.

HG sucked so badly they had to trade a box of rocks for the Worm after he joined the Magic. :lol:
