So, do you suck toes or lick toes? Do women stick their foot in your ass? Do women jack you off with their feet?

Please, help me understand how women's feet are worthy of appreciation.

We're just getting into semantics, though. Kylo Ren did bad things and made things difficult for the good guys, so in that sense he was villainous. That we can probably all agree on. I just don't think that he is necessarily the villain. Heck, even Han and Leia thought he was redeemable after he had slaughtered everyone in that jedi temple along with countless others en route to becoming a First Order leader.

Agreed that it is a lot of semantics.

Here's one angle: Is there a movie without the Kylo Ren character? Is there one without Snoke?

I get the long game angle. But these movies MUST work individually as well.

Kylo was cool but turned bitch once he found out about Rey's force powers.

StarKiller base actually accomplished its goal, which was to destroy the New Republic.

The shit that disappointed me was Phasma.

I disagree. That may have been the case in the 70's....but in this day of "epic trilogies" that just isn't the case anymore.

The movie does work fairly well on its own, but if you want an explanation for why Ren is too "emo" or doesn't come across the same way Vader did in Episode IV, it's because of where Ren is at developmentally in the larger story arc.

Vader had his "dark moment" when he killed Windu in Episode III....years before Episode IV. Ren had his dark moment IN this movie....not the prior episode.

I understand what you're saying, but Kylo Ren is a sympathetic character and still would be in a self-contained film. Grey, not black/white. With that being said, he is definitely the antagonist of TFA.

I'm getting confused. I'm not very smart, I guess.

I apologize for not understanding that Snoke, while being the ringleader, is the villain despite only appearing in hologram form and interacting with two people. And not the guy driving the action for 2 hours.

I'm only being slightly facetious. Again, probably comes down to semantics.

I can't talk about Star Wars in the same thread as the discussion about feet.

Artie and those arguing with him. Please cease and desist. This is actually an interesting thread that doesn't need to be derailed.

Thanks in advance.

The answer is in the middle. I agree that Ren is A villain, but to me he's not THE villain. Episode IV was made as a stand-alone film and Vader was the villain of that movie....even though the next two episodes (and eventually the prior three) saw that it was Palpatine/The Emperor that was pulling all the strings.

Knowing that history, and knowing that there are two films still to follow TFA, makes it pretty simple for one to assume that Snoke is the true villain of the trilogy.

Maybe we'll be surprised by a twist? I doubt it though...

I think everyone understands each other. It's not wrong to call Kylo Ren the villain, it just feels a tad disingenuous to label him as such because we know he won't be the ultimate villain of the story and we know that he is nowhere near pure evil.
