Dream closing the Voting gap... a gap that should never exist in the first place, since Dream had to be better than Jordan, Bird and Magic in order to win Championships and MVP's during his era.

Who is LeBron's competition, again? A crippled-with-injury Bulls team, a mentally weak Pacers, a young, inexperienced OKC team?

:L
"Today's NBA is soft, the Defense is weak, and the rules 'really' favor the Offense."

"Lebron doesn’t guard for a full game and our game plan was to get him to play defense and he left me open all game."

He didn't have better teams than any of them, which doesn't help put him in a position to win more Championships. Maybe he should've colluded and gone to Chicago.

Hakeem had one of the weakest supporting casts around him and in 93-94 it was probably the weakest a superstar had around him to win a title since Rick Barry's 74-75 Warriors championship squad.

You must be sick today. This post was weak. You forgot he failed 2 60 win Cavs teams. Ran running away with his tail between his legs to join a finals MVP and another all star. And his gutless choke job in 2011.

Barry won in the parity 70s. Still a great accomplishment still.

True but Barry's team went 48-34. Swept a 60-22 Bullets team with Unseld and Hayes inside who were top notch at the time. Especially on the boards.

Those 5 could and did a lot of things very, very well on both ends of the court.

Of course there are more two-way players. I'm just having trouble thinking of more.
I missed MJ's peak (started watching Shaq's rookie year), but the best two players I've seen (not including going back and watching old tape of players) are Hakeem and Shaq.

A lot of people weight accolades and box score stats heavily (for better or worse, I don't really value either much), and I can't blame them for that, but Hakeem being one of the 10 best ever isn't as much of a question as whether or not he's one of the 5 best ever.

I'll abstain from voting here though, since I'm heavily biased based on when I started watching, and in my preferences for bigs and defense.

Your vote counts, fpliii. Truth is, it is all subjective so there's no wrong answer. Your knowledge and research is very thorough.

A lot of the Lebron haterz haven't voted yet and Hakeem is still right there. Expect Hakeem to pass Lebron shortly.

It won't be a big deal. For LeBron James To be knocking on the top 10 after 11 seasons is a heck of an accomplishment in itself.

Let's try to keep this going till everyone gets fed up of it. I imagine we can crank out a top 50 if we really put in the effort. At the very worst it creates decent bball talk.

:agree:

I said that earlier that we should keep it going till we actually get bored of it.

RealGM is doing 100. We may not get that far but I think 20-25 is very doable.
