Going into Sunday evening the Mets, Braves, and Phillies had a combined 18 game win streak.

6 straight wins for all mentioned.

Atlanta is probably going to win the division but I am hoping the Phillies can make it a more respectable race than they did last season.

Nice to see that you don't believe it's possible that you lose the division. That's delusional.

You probably also believed it wasn't possible to lose to your daddy in the playoffs the last 2 seasons but papa pulled out the belt and humbled the Braves real proper like.

Sure...Go with that narrative. The Phillies did everything you said. The spoiled rich kids who won a world series and had things come way too easy for them needed some reality...But now those kids are growing up, and there will be more titles on the way. The Phillies are a nice team, and they have taken advantage of the Braves youth and inexperience, but that shit is coming to an end...

Sorry.

If I was a Cubs fan I would hate him even more. His efforts to make himself the face of the Cubs are so incredibly obnoxious. Seinfeld makes a real "Mets" appearance once every couple of years, Bill Murray is always there, always playing it up for the cameras. It's not about him.

David Stearns is easily the best and smartest executive in baseball. The Mets have *never* been the team to unearth underappreciated players and tap into lost value with superior analytics and coaching, especially not out of the bullpen but Stearns pulled this out of his ass in just one offseason with a just opened Mets pitching lab,

Houser is bust so far but the other piece of that trade in Tyrone Taylor has been unbelievable. Meanwhile the Mets have managed to tread water with the most injuries in the division and the toughest schedule in the entire league.

It’s almost a parody at this point. Legit shame because he had actual GOAT potential. 72 career WAR after his age 27 season.

Trout is the hitting version of deGrom, easily the two best of the generation, injuries ruined what would have been the greatest careers ever. At least they both got paid.

Is Trout really going to end his career with 15 career plate appearances in the playoffs? That should be impossible with the modern playoff system. Even Julio Rodriguez has twice that and he’s a 3rd year player on a team whose made the playoffs once since 9/11.

I know it’s popular to shit on the Angels organization for that but it’s really on him at the point. He had every opportunity to go somewhere else a couple times but probably enjoyed the low expectations, early vacations, and LA wimminzs. Won’t fault him for that last point doe.
