Good luck talking yourself into the Nets or 76ers.
I actually like the Heat's chances a little better than the Magic. Dragic really was starting to look like Dragic again and without a ball dominant guy like Wade, will probably look like the Suns version that was definitely a quality player. Whiteside isn't taking any huge leaps forward, but if he anchors the defense, good enough. Winslow I think will take a decent step forward and the Heat will spend a bit of dough yet and I suspect reasonably wisely. Bosh is a huge wildcard obviously.

Don't forget Richardson...The guy was lights out from three once he got playing time, and he is a very good defender. It will depend on the the other moves Riley makes to fill out the roster for this season, but depth will be more important than adding a frontline starter.
And, if Bosh is healthy, it would be a no brainer that Miami is in.
Agreed about Bosh. But I think his career is done so I don't see the Heat making it.

Yeah if Bosh is there they are a lock. He was their best player even with Wade there.

There are going to be a lot of teams battling for the last couple playoff seeds in the east. It's going to be a mess.

And as for the heat???? They arent making the ayoffs and certainly not better than the magic
Miami has 3 players that are better than anyone on the Magic. And, what I see is a 35 win team that has been considerably weakened by a trade.
No they dont and we.added a lot more than we lost...which was just oladipo basically.
Only an idiot think they got worse

Lol...the heat arent making the playoffs dude..accept it...overrating players that are currently playing in the summer league and claiming they are better than any magic player makes you a complete fucking moron.
Magic have 3-4 players better than anyone on the heat

Well, your statement might be true...if Bosh is healthy, the Heat will have FOUR players better than anyone on the Magic.

Youre a moron...we have guys to do everything whiteside does and more...we have better gjards and better defense and better ball handling and better bench...you are relying on guys like richardson and winslow and dragic...get fucking real man...we are also anlot more athletic than the heat...and even with bosh you will have serious issues scoring on the magic.
Our frontcourt will absolutely embarrass whiteside

Who woulda thought? Everybody gives their playoff seedings the way think it'll play out (because that's what would be expected from this thread) and arty's bouncing around attacking every poster that doesn't have the Magic in the playoffs.

As a highly respected member of this board whose opinion most all of us respect, I wish you would. Please give us your take on the Magic for next season.

I think the same as the rest of you. They are a fringe playoff team in the East. If they make the playoffs, they'll be right around the 8th seed but really no higher. There are a lot of new pieces in Orlando and none of them are dramatic game changers. I like the idea of a defensive front court that has Biyombo, Ibaka, and Gordon all playing together but man those three will struggle to score. Especially if Payton is running the point. There is a bit of a log jam in the front court which makes me wonder if Vucevic is gone. They could probably pick up someone pretty decent for him.

Vogel is a good coach which means this team could come along nicely but it will take time. Right now if I had to predict the east it would look something like...

Cavs
Raptors
Celtics
Pacers
Hornets
Pistons
Bulls
Knicks

The Hawks, Magic, and Bucks will fight for that 8th seed with the Knicks.

Seems to be a near consensus that there are only a handful of "locks" for the playoffs in the east, and a few locks for not making the playoffs (Nets and Sixers) and then it's a dogs breakfast.
