Pippen is my vote
"Today's NBA is soft, the Defense is weak, and the rules 'really' favor the Offense."

"Lebron doesn’t guard for a full game and our game plan was to get him to play defense and he left me open all game."

Nominate Stockton. If he's already named, nominate Ewing (not one of the next guys up, but I think he should enter the conversation soon-ish).

8 titles, a couple as the "lead dog"

13 time all star

He's a fmvp and was a big time playoff performer and clutch player.
Which makes it mind-boggling a guy like Kobe is #8 all-time while Hondo can't even crack Top 20.

:L
What's so mind-boggling about it?

I think #21 is a wrap. Hondo.

On to #22 for the sake of actually getting through this thing?

yep Hondo getting a lot of love at this slot.

Still he's not better than Scottie Pippen.

Pippen better be a wrap for 22.

Dirk and Barkley may have better cases for their inclusion at #22.

Please, Scottie has 6 rings, is one of the few most complete players in NBA History along with one of the best perimeter defenders and in 1994 almost led the Bulls to the Finals, if not for shady refereeing.

Dirk and Barkley absolutely are not better than Mr. Pippen.

Barkley may be the choice for 23 though

In 1994, Pippen couldn't even get the Bulls out of the 2nd round... so they were a long ways from making the Finals. And even then, it took heroics from Toni Kukoc to get as far as they did. Or, did we forget Kukoc hit the game winner in the playoffs while Pippen was sulking on the bench like the "lead dog" he was.

I am a big Pippen fan as I have this shirt from my first purchase from the NBA store:

But he never put up the numbers of a Havlicek, Barkley, and/or Dirk did in their careers. Especially from the PPG department.

Because we don't hate Kobe as much as TDK does.

Pippen just doesn't compare to the guys being considered especially Hondo and Dirk.

Pippen put up good rebounds, assists, and defensive numbers in 94 and 95 without MJ but that scoring. 21.7ppg combined in those years.

That's interesting that you put out the argument of career PPG, but there's been no mention of Wade, who at 24.3 PPG is higher than every player you mentioned. Usually at a much higher percentage as well.

Finals MVP, 3 time champion.

Somebody else mentioned career PER earlier in an argument for a player. I'm not such a huge fan of PER, but if you want to use that then you have to look at Wade, who is 8th on the all time list.

Put my vote down for D Wade.

Haven't you been voting for Wade over the last few spots?

Anyway Pippen is considered as a legit #2 option. While he does have 6 rings as a #2 option I can't put him over some of the 1's who have won it all and even some of the ones who have not.

I have been, and I'm probably kind of biased, but I think we're getting to the point were most impartial people have to consider him. There is still a lot of residual hate for the Heat that I think will probably bias people the other way though.

I think Wade should be ranked higher than Pippen for sure.

Thing about Wade is his career is riddled with injuries but when he was healthy and on he was close to unstoppable as can be.
