Can you name a season where Shaq played hard from the first game to the last playoff game?y2ktors wrote:I'm surprised at no votes for Shaq.

Shaq shouldn't be quite this high, but what is the sense of that statement?Shill Jackson wrote:Can you name a season where Shaq played hard from the first game to the last playoff game?y2ktors wrote:I'm surprised at no votes for Shaq.
It is perfectly possible to lunge around and still be more productive than a eager beaver who tries hard all the time.
Shaq was the genius, rich snot who could have had a 4.0 with a strong work ethic, but coasted to a 3.5.
I would still take that guy over the guy who busted humps to get a 3.0, so to speak.
The end result is what counts.
Taking a break from the board. Please reference my last post for more details if you are interested.

llikely i wouldn't fight anyone here. I wouldn't actually want to. This board is all fun and i bet half of us would get beers and laugh our asses off talking about this site if we met up.
Re: 2014 Anger General Top Ten Greatest of All Time: #6 selection
Honestly this whole ranking thing is kinda bull. If you knew the skills and potential of each player listed. And if they all entered the same draft today...who here would draft MJ over Kareem, russell or Wilt?
Re: 2014 Anger General Top Ten Greatest of All Time: #6 selection
Doesn't matter if they would draft him first, he's the GOAT. Nobody would draft a SG over a dominant center but that doesn't mean that a center is better just cause of draft order. It's not all about skills and potential though. Accolades and career achievements play huge parts. That's why it's "greatest" players of all time and not "best" players of all time.Macrotus wrote:Honestly this whole ranking thing is kinda bull. Accolades and individual career achievements are mostly circumstantial. Imagine, had MJ, Kareem, Wilt & Russell played in the same era on a different teams...would MJ have all those hardware? Most likely not.y2ktors wrote:It's not all about skills and potential though. Accolades and career achievements play huge parts. That's why I try to use add much context as I can when looking at each player. Era, competition and rules are just a few things that I take into account.Macrotus wrote:Accolades and individual career achievements are mostly circumstantial. Bird did this TWICE. That is not "routine".Bush4Ever wrote:
Bird was a routine 50/40/90 threat once Fitch left the Celtics and the team incorporated the three-pointer into the offense.
