I agree with Wailua's teams but would also add Milwaukee into the Next Up group.

As long as Giannis is healthy, they're in the mix.

They're 0-12 against the Celtics, Cavs, Thunder, Grizz and Knicks. They're also sub-.500 on the road.

The Bucks are cooked, Giannis or not.

There is ultimately going to be a right answer on the "others", but I think its too hard to know right now.

To me, the gap between the top teams and others is fairly wide by modern standards. I think who emerges out of the others will almost certainly be who is hot at the exact right times in the playoffs.

That said, I would vote for a NA in the East and the Nuggets/Lakers in the West if I had to.

I think there are only 3 legit contenders at this point.

Celtics
Cavs
Thunder

All the other teams have too many glaring flaws. I don't see Memphis, Denver or LA beating the Cavs or C's in the Finals....if any of them happen to upset the Thunder.

Celtics remain my favorite to win the title but remain the least fun team to watch. 63 3pta, good ball movement to get the shots, but it’s literally just a math equation offensively for them. Brutally ugly basketball

They do some funish things like having their guards in jrue and white play in the dunker spot and their bigs stand at the three point line, but teams have had jrue there before so it’s not groundbreaking by any means. It’s boring in that no one breaks down a defense on their own. Their offense is basically a formula, drive just far enough to cause the defense to shift, then kick the ball, rinse repeat until they have a good 3. Celtics have shot close to 400 more threes than the team with the second most attempts. It’s good smart offense, but it lacks personality and fun.

I think even Celtic fans could agree that their play style compared to the other top teams isn’t super fun. Cleveland has garland and Mitchell who are both amazing ball handlers and down hill threats, thunder have shai who has the best footwork in the league and is just nasty getting to his spots, nuggets have the best passer of all time who happens to be a heliocentric big man, warriors have Steph, lakers have Luka and lebron. The Celtics might be better than them all, but I will tune into those other teams before the Celtics 10/10 times

The only time the Celtics have a "non-mathematical" offense is when Porzingis is on the court. He brings a high-post game and the threat of drive and lob that nobody else on the team does. Outside of that I don't necessarily disagree with your take on how the Celtics play offense, but I'll wholeheartedly disagree with the enjoyment of watching it. The high ball movement, fast paced, efficient offense is quite fun to watch. It was fun to watch nearly a decade ago when the Dubs were perfecting it. I find it highly entertaining.

My only beef with their play is that they're so programmed to jack 3's that they tend to force REALLY bad ones, at times....even early in the shot clock. Keep that ball moving, boys!

Comparing them to the warriors isn’t being honest, the warriors ran a ton of off ball movement and sets that resulted in those threes while the Celtics offense is much more stagnant while shooting way more threes. The Celtics offense is a predictable machine that works incredibly efficiently, it’s just not really fun to watch for someone who isn’t a Celtics fan
