The only reason I always advocate 3rd getting money is because 2nd place loses their last game and 3rd wins so it kinda sucks to reward a loser over a winner in the Playoffs.

I'll vote for that. Seems reasonable for 3rd to get their money back.

Next year, I'd advocate for a slightly larger buy-in ($50.00?) and only having pay-outs for 1st and 2nd.

I'd also vote to adjust the settings a bit (not complaining about them this year, as I joined late and didn't set it up).
