My set up by the way...
(I don't have any of that crap on the mantle anymore. That was when the basement was first finished and we were still trying to figure out where to put everything.)

I'm sure you're digging the extra space.
We're in the planning stages of finishing our basement. But it won't be anything like yours. Only enough room for a den + bedroom + maybe a bathroom.

We have non stop visitors now. Now that family knows we have two finished rooms and a private bathroom downstairs, they all make excuses to come. This Thanksgiving we'll have my parents and my niece. Possibly my little brother and his wife and kid. Then this Christmas we'll be having over 10 of my in laws staying with us. It's crazy.
On a personal use, I don't get to use it much. My oldest panics when we go downstairs to watch a movie at night after we've put them to bed. It means we're normally stuck watching our shows on our old couch and our old crappy TV that's upstairs.

I'm sure your oldest will change her attitude soon enough and will appreciate when you're on an entirely different level of the house... or asks to move down there herself.

I hope so. I think I've said this before but she sleeps in our room full time now. We moved her mattress to our floor in our room. Two years of trying nearly everything to get her to sleep and I gave up. She sleeps like a dream right now and I don't even care. She won't want to be around us forever so I'll enjoy it now.AbeVigodaLive wrote:Kingcarl24 wrote:AbeVigodaLive wrote:
