Many contending teams don't have much cap room and the Bulls will be able to offer him the most as they have his bird rights. This of course assumes he continues to play well and will be worth his increased salary demands
I like Pau but at 14/10 on 43% shooting with no defense I don't think it would be a terrible thing to let him walk if he's going to be seeking 10+ mill a year
True that. His production would be tough to replicate and replace at his scheduled salary but can't blame a man for want a nice final paycheck. If he did leave the Bulls would get up to about $23 mill in cap space for 2016 with Noah off the books and the cap jump. If they could trade Dunleavy $5 mill (only 1 year remaining at that point so not too big of a stretch) they could get up to $28 mill available. Can you say Durant?!
Rose
Butler
Durant
Mirotic
Portis
That'd be a pretty lethal offensive lineup.

Agreed. "Cement shoes Gasol" ever fell out the boat, he would find the bottom of Sheepshead Bay faster than any man in human history.
So the Bulls are set to lose Noah and Gasol, both of whom am I told by Bulls fans are great players, and they have no one to replace them with and they attract no good free agents historically.

This should turn out well for Chicago.
We have the great Bobby Portis.
Dude has the ceiling of what? Is he the next Orlando Woolridge?

Magic just completed the season sweep of two western conference teams this week...
All you fools claiming how the east is now better than the west should realize the magic have been the team doing most of the damage...not the bulls. Not the cavs and not the pacers.
Deal with it
