The Lakers had a healthy 15-20 point lead in the bag and they kept him out there.
At best he should have finished with 64 points.
Guys like Jordan and Bird would have been on the bench with their teams up double-digits against a bottom-feeder opponent with 5 minutes left. Kobe, on the other hand, chucked something like 14 of the Lakers' last 15 shots when his team already had the game in the bag.
Nothing impressive at all about his performance.
Throughout his career, MJ lost many games to bad teams that he'd have won if he had the talent to score 81. He wasn't good enough.
