Baylor. But Havlicek is pretty tempting too
Re: 2014 Anger General Geatest of All Time: #20 selection
Hondo.
I'm not saying this because of Abe's bitching, but I do feel bad about Baylor dropping this low.
Those 13/14-probably about 23 spots are very tight, which will misrepresent the guys at the back end of that spectrum a bit.
Hondo = Poor Man's Kobe. Or maybe not poor man's Kobe. Working class man's Kobe?

The argument against Baylor is a strong one. Heck, it's one I've used against him before (0 titles). I have not problem with Hondo or Baylor here.

He really took off after Red retired because Red kept him as the 6th man but when Russell took over as HC he pretty much started him and Hondo really had a great 69 Finals.

Yes, the Browns. Actually went to their training camp too.fpliii wrote:Hondo also was a great defender. Tons of energy, tremendous longevity.
I think he was actually drafted by an NFL team as well? Pretty cool.

He was the NBA's all-time leader in games played at the time of his retirement. He also ranked in the NBA's top 10 in minutes played and in total points. Recall, he was a 6th man for the first 7 years of his career.fpliii wrote:Hondo also was a great defender. Tons of energy, tremendous longevity.

Hondo is definitely worthy to be picked around this area, but Pippen and Baylor are both slightly better.
Pippen, Baylor, Hondo should be the next 3 choices.
Bronze, KoMe and KG all way too high on this list though.

Please list what Baylor has accomplished to have him ranked ahead of Hondo or Barry or Malone or Kg or Dirk etc other than the gaudy(inefficient)scoring and rebounding.dwcmwa wrote:876Stephen wrote:I would vote Hondo ahead of Baylor with out hesitation.

Abe hasn't done it yet.
And if Abe can't , there's no way u can.
