2x All-NBA 2nd Team
2x NBA assists leader (total)
1x NBA assists leader (average)
1x NBA assists leader (pct)

Zeke's list may seem slightly short in comparison with your boy KG, but keep in mind that Isiah willed those Bad Boy Piston teams to their championships. KG won his on the downside of his career, and not as a lead dog.

I picked Isiah for a variety of reasons

He doesn't have the fancy resume others have. But he was the leader of the bad boys, a team full of misfits that came together to achieve what no one thought they could. It was the Magic/Bird playland and until Isiah came along and put his stamp on the league and took it by storm. He has the distinction of beating Magic, Bird, and Jordan in a playoff series and is a finals MVP. On top of that he was a muthafuggin assassin when it mattered and did put up some gaudy stats in his earlier years. People eat out of Chris Paul's cornhole for dropping 20/11 but there was Isiah in the mid 80s dropping 21/14 (blah blah blah, pace this and pace that)

I may be wrong, and I'm probably am but that is why I chose Isiah. If not him KG is definitely next in line.

Dirk:

10th all-time in points, likely to move into top 7-8.
9th all-time in win shares.
8th all-time in offensive win shares.
1x MVP, FMVP, Champion.
15 consecutive seasons of 17.5-26.6 PPG and counting.
One of six players who achieved a 50-40-90 season.
Led Mavs to playoffs in 13 of 14 seasons and counting.
12x All-Star.
12x All-NBA Team.
One of four players with playoff career average of 25 ppg and 10 rpg.
One of eleven players to have been NBA Champion, NBA regular season MVP, NBA Finals MVP and a 10× NBA All-Star.

Dirk has been very good for a very long time, which in my opinion puts him above a couple of select players who may have had a more impactful peak. Dirk is also one of the most clutch performers in NBA history, with a long track record of producing in elimination games in particular.

It should be noted that I am aware that Malone beats Dirk in several of these categories, but Dirk will close the gap on or surpass Malone in most within 2 seasons. Malone's 0 rings are the decider for me here ultimately, and more specifically his inability to step up in big games vs Dirk's knack for upping his game in the playoffs. Malone is also a terrible human being.

The Mailman. He's Kobe Bryant minus the rings.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

Rick Barry won a title by himself and sweeped a 60 win, heavily favored Bullets team.

12 time abs/nba all star

Monster numbers and great efficiency in both the aba and nba regular and postseason's.

A dynamic offensive player who is notoriously underrated ala Big O. Would have won more than 1 title if he played with good talent in his career, which never happened.

That's it? :L

JK. Barry was a great player. I have a 67 Jersey of his even though it's way too big for me. :(

Rick Barry deserves some love only because he logged one if the most efficient single game point totals in history. 64pts with zero threes, five free throw attempts, and missing just 15 shots.

Mikan won 5 titles. In only 7 seasons. He played with a BROKEN LEG in the playoffs in one of the two seasons he didn't win a title — and still averaged 20 ppg. The only other time he didn't win a title was when he returned from retirement for half of a season.

The NBA had to change the rules to compensate for Mikan's dominance.

For those who dig the stat... 5 Lead Dog titles.

Mikan's career PER is 27.0. Only LeBron and Jordan have a higher career PER. And, that's probably too low. There are no PER stats for Mikan his first 3 seasons... but his PER would have been off the charts. Check this out...

Mikan had a whopping 23.4 WinShares his 3rd year in the league. Jordan and James have never come close to matching it.

[Note: If you don't vote for Mikan here despite an incredible dominance in stats over everybody else... you might as well take him off the board. You can't hold his era against him at the #16 spot despite having dominant stats... then give him a pass later on and ignore the era. His stats are going to be better than everybody else at this point.]

Mikan was great but not as great as Mr. Pettit.

Pettit was great. But he couldn't match Mikan for (1) influence (2) titles (3) PER or (4) Win Shares. Other than that... sure.

He played two other seasons in the NBL with the Gears and Lakers before they moved the BAA, won titles both seasons. 7 titles in 8 years excluding the retirement.

Agree 100% with your note. If we take everything at face value, he's at worst a top 3 player, with Jordan and Russell, based on his domination and team success.
