Get a rebound, intentionally miss the bunny, then get the put back. Two points, 50% shooting and two boards - nice work Moses!!!AbeVigodaLive wrote:vcsgrizzfan wrote:Malone (Moses, not Karl) works for me here. Definitely under appreciated.
Malone makes Kevin Love blush with his stat padding of rebounds.

Not. It was a well-known criticism of Malone... warranted or not.
I have Malone at #13. He was good. He posted some awesome stats. But was he a guy you did everything you could to build around and give the keys to...?
Re: 2014 Anger General Geatest of All Time: #12 selection
Well he didn't have much in Houston and when he went to the 76ers I think even though he put up better numbers and won the mvp that many still considered that to be Dr. J's team. He wasn't a great shot blocking center like some of the others that are on the list ahead of him which I think hurts him but he did have an awesome prime in terms of scoring and rebounding.AbeVigodaLive wrote:elmouse03 wrote:Don't be a hater abe.AbeVigodaLive wrote:

Tough one between Dr J and Moses.

Give me Oscar...one of three players who consistently lead his teams to super elite offenses: Magic and Nash being the other two, and Oscar being the best scorer and defender of the three. Played at the wrong time, his teams were going up against Wilt and Russell in the playoffs without a legitimate center.
Moses was dominant as hell (though he did have his best years after Kareem peaked and before Magic/Bird took over the league) and maybe the best offensive rebounder ever, but he wasn't a plus defender, which you need to see from a big man to justify picking him this early.

Until he got, KAJ, every player he played with was average or in most cases, below average besides Lucas. It was never enough to overcome any of the great teams of that era.

The Wall was a tremendous screen setter and I believe he had a decent jumper, but the dude was 6'8" (though they measured without shoes back then, so add ~1.5" to get his list height today), and again, going up against Wilt + Russell in the postseason.elmouse03 wrote:He had the great Wayne Embryfpliii wrote:Give me Oscar...one of three players who consistently lead his teams to super elite offenses: Magic and Nash being the other two, and Oscar being the best scorer and defender of the three. If Stokes never goes down in the 50s (remember, O was a territorial pick so they could still snag him), I think the Royals might've been very dangerous.

No love for Jack Twyman?876Stephen wrote:fpliii wrote:Give me Oscar...one of three players who consistently lead his teams to super elite offenses: Magic and Nash being the other two, and Oscar being the best scorer and defender of the three. Stokes, Twyman, and The Big O would have been great. Good enough to beat Russell's celtics though?fpliii wrote:The Wall was a tremendous screen setter and I believe he had a decent jumper, but the dude was 6'8" (though they measured without shoes back then, so add ~1.5" to get his list height today), and again, going up against Wilt + Russell in the postseason.elmouse03 wrote:He had the great Wayne Embryfpliii wrote:Give me Oscar...one of three players who consistently lead his teams to super elite offenses: Magic and Nash being the other two, and Oscar being the best scorer and defender of the three. A great gunner, ala Dantley but he was hardly a difference maker, especially going up against defensive juggernauts like Boston and Wilt's sixers.elmouse03 wrote:No love for Jack Twyman?876Stephen wrote:fpliii wrote:Give me Oscar...one of three players who consistently lead his teams to super elite offenses: Magic and Nash being the other two, and Oscar being the best scorer and defender of the three. In 63 probably. The series went to 7 games anyway, and that was Boston's worst playoffs defensively to that point in the dynasty.elmouse03 wrote:Stokes, Twyman, and The Big O would have been great. Stokes would have easily been the 3rd best rebounder in league history behind Wilt and Russell. 17.3rpg before his injury and his numbers were rising by 1 in each of his seasons.fpliii wrote:In 63 probably. #12 is Oscar, and #13 nomination is Barkley.
