Mike is pushing 60, has sciatica, had to be hospitalized THIS YEAR in May due to severe ulcers that he said nearly killed him (I take that with a grain of salt cuz Mike is notorious for exaggerating, but still…), but tdk thinks Mike having a gimpy knee is what lost him the fight?
So you admit he was injured... injured AND scripted. Wake up, fool:

What's the oldest age you believe Michael Jordan and Mike Tyson could be competitive in this era? Thank you in advance.
Tough to say on Tyson, although at 58 (and fighting on a crippled knee) he went the full 8 rounds with Jake Paul... so I guess the answer would depend on your definition of "competitive".
As for Jordan, let's put it this way: At the age of 39/40 he averaged 20/6/4/45% in a MUCH tougher/more physical era, so it stands to reason MJ at the same age today would put up much better stats... that said, I could see him still being "competitive" in the Modern Era until at least 45 years of age, maybe even older... and why not??? He wouldn't have to worry about playing Defense AND his body wouldn't have to take any physical beatings. In a sense it would be like a pick-up game at the gym, where all he would need to do is stand on the perimeter and take jump shots all day. Easy peasy for the GOAT. Hell, he might be able to do that at age 50.
20 points
Yup... 20-PPG in an era where players/teams actually played Defense. In today's era 40-year old MJ is dropping 25+ with ease.
Discuss why that fact will trigger you.
"Today's NBA is soft, the Defense is weak, and the rules 'really' favor the Offense."
"Lebron doesn’t guard for a full game and our game plan was to get him to play defense and he left me open all game."

It wasn’t scripted. And I said from the very beginning his health was compromised because he’s a broken 58 year old man… like you.
If he says it was scripted he’s going to get sued and prob looking at potential jail time. It was a sanctioned fight that people bet on you casual idiot.
40 year old MJ absolutely can't play in today's NBA. Period. He was pretty much purely a relatively inefficient mid-range shooter who only now and again could take it to the rack against a set defense. He might be able to be a bench player, but he'd barely see the floor outside of garbage time.

What do you say to the posters on the old board who said he would be effective at 50?

Artman level trolling right there... congrats, I guess.

I believe Grizz is talking about Wizards Jordan, not Bulls Jordan.

Obviously. His last two seasons (the Wizards years), he had a total shooting % of around 48% combined between the two years. He was awful beyond the arc. In today's NBA, that guy doesn't play.
