But I walked 5 miles - NOT. And I'm going to go for a bike ride (electric bike doesn't count Artie!).

I literally almost felt nauseous thinking about that much food so early in the day. I essentially never eat before 11am at the absolute earliest so it sounded revolting to me.
Kinda funny how the 5 mile walk only came up after everyone gave him shit for scarfing down all of his calories in one sitting lol

:stephenalol:
I walk that and more everyday. Hardly worth mentioning.
And I rarely eat breakfast so it was really breakfast and lunch combined

I know at a minimum, you cancelled out your epic five mile walk, in terms of calories.

I did walk and I dont have an electric bike
Nobody cares about you eating schedule and you have no idea what my portions were.
One thing about this board is everytime I tell any facts, you idiots act like it's not believable when to me its just the norm and very true. Guess I live a more unbelievable life than you guys do

Bush4Ever. wrote: Tue Oct 08, 2024 11:50 am I also like Artman's post(s) about cubicles.

"Enjoy your cubicle".....uh....okay? Air-conditioning, relative peace and isolation if you work with similar types of people, etc...

Acting like fun jobs can't take place in a white-collar cubicle (though I don't have one) setting is bizarre for someone who claims to be extremely educated.
Been there. It's miserable. Unless you are autistic as you have been afflicted with. So it's the same routine and stale farts every day and you enjoy (need) such environments to maintain mental health.

I prefer chaos, movement, challenges, jokes, visual completion satisfaction, creative problemsoving,. Actual teamwork not just morning meeting pep talk shit.
A cubicle existence would be hell

So basically, despite growing up rich, having daddy pay for bordering school etc...you could only manage a boring dead-end white-collar job? And you apparently farted a lot because of your weight and stomach state?

That's on you, not a cubicle or white-collar status.

No. But that's a cute made up story.

As intended and a bike ride put me at a deficit.
I burn more daily than goes in. It's a non issue. And if I sat in a cubicle all day it would be a huge concern that I would focus on like you clearly do.

It’s all opinionated of course… but I agree with Tits here. Cubicle jobs seem horrible. It’s not quite the same thing… but my wife does the payroll and a little bit of HR at her job, and sometimes she can get overwhelmed by it all so I’ll help her out at night by inputting some of the payroll data for her. I only work on it for 1-2 hours here and there, and I’m at home with music playing or a tv show on in the background, and even then it’s the worst shit ever. So goddamn boring… just mind numbing shit. I don’t get how she does it for hours and hours a day.

Meanwhile my job is dirty, smelly, we don’t have AC in the shop so during the summer you feel every degree, but I still really enjoy it. It’s a great combination of physical labor, a decent amount of math and problem solving, and I leave every work day feeling like I accomplished a lot. Not shitting on cubicle workers… but it’s not for me. Maybe years down the road when my body starts to betray me a bit I’ll think about an office gig, but in the meantime I’m good.

You need a lesson in thermodynamics Artie. A five mile walk might burn 650 calories or so, even at your weight.

My breakfast may have been 650 calories.
Plus you don't know what elevations and grades of steepness

Obviously, it's the job itself not whether or not it takes place in a cubicle.

"Creative problem-solving" (about how to best layer paint to create the illusion of owl shit) can take place in the field. Or in a lab. Or in a cubicle.

"People farting" can take place in the field, in a lab, or in a cubicle.

It's not like a data entry job would somehow become exciting if it took place at the top of a mountain.

3 Mardi Gras baked wings. A small portion of smoked sausage.
Blood orange juice."

You were at 650 calories less than a third of the way through.

Anyways, I'm done here Artie. That's enough getting into the trough with the pig for one day.

No, your body does not violate the laws of thermodynamics Artman.

That's classic "fat logic".

Physics operates the same way for you as it does everyone else.

That's why you have a big attachment of fat to your abdomen, and flotation devices attached to your chest.

Eh I’m with lns here. As someone that has done the office/cubicle job for 15 years it is indeed boring as shit but it pays the bill and allows for a good life so it’s whatever.

I’m not really sure “fun” cubicle jobs exists. Maybe in marketing or if you work some start up with jobs like “Chief Awesome Officer”, that may be fun for a few months until the money dries up and you close up shop.

You clearly have no idea what I do.
You think I pain walls for a living? Or simply paint?
Clueless.
I was utilizing a $500k peice of equipment all week . Why are you losers constantly referring to a sample I did like 10 years ago for one day as if that's my job. While it easily beats out any cubicle job and is not an insult whatsoever
Sad
