I’m also hoping he doesn’t bother with a debate. If he loses it could be a huge blow, and if he wins it doesn’t really change all that much IMO. Total lose/lose scenario.kobeunderbite wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 1:16 pm ITitan18 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 12:59 pm She definitely has a chance. Black voters were getting more and more pro Trump so replacing the 85 year old white guy with her (even though she really isn’t black) will help in that aspect.
The polls will be close, maybe even in her favor until the debate (if the Dems allow one) in which then Trump should take over the lead. Kamala is awful at debating and speaking off the cuff. Yes she can speak clearly and complete sentences unlike Biden but she sounds like she has a 3rd grade level of understanding about most things. Plus that awful cackling. As long as Trump does what he did to Biden and doesn’t go off the wall with the insults and interrupting he will come out the debate as the front runner.
Then republicans just need to turn out to vote, especially in swing states where you know Kamala will already have a +5 advantage from those pristine mail in ballots discovered under a table or in the back of a van at 3 am.
I really hope Trump doesn't debate her. There's almost nothing to gain. She's has an adequate enough command of her talking points to not make a complete idiot of herself and it will further legitimize her as a candidate and allow her to highlight whatever contrasts she chooses to focus on - age, temperament, etc. Trump should say she isn't legitimate and he won't debate her because she didn't win the nomination with votes.
So does Kamala have a chance?

Have to disagree. She is awful at debates. Personally think as long as Trump retains his cool it would be a bloodbath and will show America just how incompetent and unlikable she is.kobeunderbite wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 1:16 pm ITitan18 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 12:59 pm She definitely has a chance. Re: So does Kamala have a chance?
She has a decent chance...better than I thought she would have. For everyone who loves Trump there a few more who absolutely hate him. She has to choose a moderate male vice president. Abortion has ended up being a loser come election time for Republicans so if she can make that a main issue about taking away women's rights then maybe she grabs a few more votes. Independents are always a bit baffling...it's like that group has trouble making a decision and anything can sway them either way.
As for the debate, she needs a good showing. If she does okay and Trump goes off of the rails attacking her then she might pick up some more votes. Trump did not have a great debate performance either with Joe....but Joe stole the show with all of his senior moments. What Trump did best was not interrupting those senior moments. I can't see him restraining himself a second time against a woman.

You dont debate down, so trump shouldnt debate her. There is no gain from it and since the left played that card first it only makes sense for Trump to use that card.

I have to say, I am a little surprised by the groundswell right now…
Re: So does Kamala have a chance?
My wife and I have a friendly bet on Kamala vs Trump. She thinks Kamala is terrible but will still win because of the Trump hate, and I think Kamala is horrendous and Trump should get the W. But I’m getting nervous y’all…
Re: So does Kamala have a chance?
Guess I’m in the minority who thinks a debate is absolutely crucial for Trump. The propaganda arm of the Democratic Party aka the media will fight tooth and nail to make her look great and people will fall for it hook line and sinker. Only way to combat that is have her fail miserably in a debate, like what happened with Biden.
It’s not going to change 97% of voters mind but it may change those 3% and with how close the race will be those 3% matter a lot. Those 3% will automatically go to Kamala with no debate as she is propped up by the media and Trump is attacked for being too scared to debate.
If Trump crashes and burns during it and it seals a Kamala win, well then he didn’t deserve to win in the first place.

Polls may be saying otherwise, but I think Trump is a lock. Many of those who dislike Trump won’t be motivated and energized enough to take the time to go vote for Cumala.

She was the most liberal senator. If Americans knew how extreme she is she would have no chance, I mean she literally votes left of Bernie. Republicans will fail to effectively get this out in the messaging.

DemonRats rallying around the candidate (who received less than 1% of the vote in the 2020 primary) as their new savior against the devil himself, Donald Trump... the Biden Border Czar who never once visited the border, the black woman who spent her career as a Senator locking up black men for smoking pot.

Republicans will always lose out in messaging because they don’t have the blowhorns Dems have. They’ve already cornered the fence riders with “first black woman” horseshit. R’s are already drowned out.kobeunderbite wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2024 3:25 pm

Re: So does Kamala have a chance?
I'm okay with a black woman president if, we have no men left that have any balls to speak and stand up for truth, and if she has ideas that will benefit all Americans and not just selective groups of people. Unfortunately for Kackala, she's not black, has no ideas and is a complete moron, literally the dumbest person I've ever seen in politics.

Even Drake is blacker than Kamala. And last I heard, they not like us…so i’ve been told.
