its 72 degrees 24 hours a day year round in hawaii, its not the same thing. Ive been there many times, and outside is aways comfortable.
When I’m camping in the mountains, it can get into the mid 50s. Pretty fucking cold if you ask me. Sometimes I even have to wear sweat pants. But yeah, I usually camp on the beach and it’s 65-70

What is the most dangerous animal, snake and spider on the Islands. Climate is a huge factor.
I’m the biggest threat to my own health. No predators, other than feral cats, no snakes, we do have black widows and brown recluses but I’ve only known one person to be bit

Beds are comfortable af. Like I said with the AC… chill that bish down to about 60 degrees and hug each chilled pillow with a leg and an arm. Middle of the night if too cold, throw that puffy comforter over yourself for about 16 seconds and kick it right back off and fall right back into your deep slumber til the next piss break. Man it’s a beautiful thing amigo.

I think I’d be more concerned with the hogs.

I enjoy the wilderness. MTBing, hiking, camping, car camping. You gotta camp out without a tent. Experience what our ancestors lived like.

I don’t worry about pigs at all to be honest. They generally aren’t aggressive and when I’m in the mountains I’m usually hunting so have a gun and my dog. My new malinois just grabbed and pinned his first pig last week as it walked through the yard. 125 cleaned and dressed and he’s only about 55 pounds. I don’t use him for hunting, but he gets fed scrap meat all the time so he was on it

mosquitos, uncomfortable sleeping, no showers, uncontrolled temperatures, usually humid and sticky. there is absolutely NOTHING appealing about camping. But Koreans love it for some reason.

Last time and the only time I actually camped was when I was 21 with all my friends for 2 days. I would never do it now. Camping is fine...until you have to go to sleep. I got an idea....how about we just do all of the shit we were going to do outdoors today and then when we all decide the fun is over, we go back inside and sleep in a bed in the AC and shit into a real toilet?

When I was about 11 one of my friends on our street had a pop-up camper and we would spend the night in it once in a while in the summer. It's fun staying up late and roaming the neighborhood and doing that shit, but once you have to sleep it's hot and musty. I should have just went home. The fun is over once it's sleepy time. Now I want AC and a mattress.

Today, I had some chick I went to junior high with post a video of a big ass bear following her somewhere in Yellowstone. Luckily for her and her family the bear must have eaten very recently because it decided against murdering her whole family.

Hiking is fine, as long as it ends with a 5 star resort imho

Nice! Malinois are fierce dogs.

Did it a ton as a kid. My dad loved to get away most weekends and there wasn't a ton of cash around so camping was pretty cheap and easy. Did a lot of lake fishing and nighttime camp fires were always awesome as a little boy. At that age, never minded sleeping on an air mattress.

The one thing about living in northern Ontario with the millions of lakes and streams, is that there were literally clouds of mosquitoes at times, and a ton of black flies. Never gave it a thought, but used to lather on tons of insect repellant like there was no tomorrow. Lord knows how much poison was in that shit, but it's too late to worry about now.

I did it a bit when my kids were young (but in a much more civilized way with access to showers and toilets etc.) and they liked it. When my youngest was born, we started just going to a lake house for August in the BC interior and did that for damn near 20 years until I just couldn't coordinate everyone anymore. Those summers made a big impression on all my kids, especially my oldest boy. I didn't realize quite how much he treasured those times while we were actually doing it. He's 34 years old now and still brings it up all the time.
