Is Joel having the greatest scoring season ever?

Talk about anything here.

It’s a cute stat line, but not winning basketball. It’s gimmicky.
Bill Russell couldn't dream of scoring 50 PPG a season.

Thus me terming it as "not winning basketball".

Bill won...........Wilt didn't.

He won those seasons and Bill didn't.

Wilt won one title while Russell was an NBA player.

Not in the 80's - 00's, when they actually played consistent, physical perimeter Defense while the rim/paint was always defended/protected.

That's a teenie-weenie little intangible that fans of today's NBA conveniently overlook, and what the "made up" stats (they treat like gospel) don't tell you... and yes, that makes a HUGE difference especially in the case of guys like Embiid and Jokic, who take 50%-60%+ of their shots in the paint/at the rim.

In today's NBA you've got 10th/11th men off the bench dropping 20-points on any given night... cute numbers but literally any scrub could do the same in a wide-open lane, soft/zero-perimeter contact era where ball-handlers are allowed to travel incessantly, use their off-arms to shove their defenders away, lower their shoulders and barrel into a defender, etc., without getting a whistle.
"Today's NBA is soft, the Defense is weak, and the rules 'really' favor the Offense."

"Lebron doesn’t guard for a full game and our game plan was to get him to play defense and he left me open all game."

You’re right, they’d average 70.

Because Bill was a quitter who couldn't handle defending his asterisk titles anymore.

That's not Wilt's fault.

Jordan, Nique, Jabbar, Bird.......there's a slew of players that could average 50 given 39.5 FGAs per night......in ANY era.

Durant, Curry, Lebron, Embiid, Harden, Shaq, Kobe......the list would go on and on and on.

Seven is the most perfect of God's numbers, and drawing a line through it is incredibly disrespectful to God himself.

When the Timberwolves went to halftime, they learned that Embiid had 59 points through three quarters in Philly against San Antonio. Players were buzzing as they came back to the court, asking assistant coaches for updates on where Embiid finished, so they could help Towns surpass it.

Joel Embiid is averaging 11.36 FTA per 36 minutes for his career.
The next highest is Shaq with 9.66 FTA per 36.
He is shooting 16% more FTA per game than the second place.
The difference between Embiid and the second place is the same as the difference between second and 22nd place.

and Wilt’s jersey is most likely cotton
