If you want to know which of two styles of food are better, simply remove people of the two cultures (India and Cuba in this case), and observe popularity-based trends in the remaining population over time.
I've literally never heard a WASP or a Black dude or an East Asian chick ask if "they have any good Cuban food here", while I definitely have for Indian food.
