How is it that a young, hip. no doubt in his late 20's at the most gets a colonoscopy...That is only for us old guys...Are we a bit older than we pretend to be, or did someone get some 9 inch peen stuck up there sideways?

My doctor told me once you hit 50, and comes from a place of experience. You are at an elevated risk, so you should listen , but otherwise the “advice” is just a money grab.

A colonoscopy is preventative care. My insurance will PAY ME to get it done.

And clearly the guidelines just changed in 2021, based on those articles. You were already 50...so...
