I have no problem with gays..I know a lot of them and work with them...have several friends that are gay..both guys and girls...regular people and friends..they dont care what I do in private and I dont care what they do in private..we still party and have fun..sexuality never comes into the picture...nobody has the right to tell anyone who they can and cant love.
And they are normal and you wouldn't even know they are gay unless they told you.
And they are never coming onto people or caricatures like the board homophobes think.

I don't know if I like this comparison simply because one involves minors that aren't able to consent.

It will be interesting to hear the counter argument down the road about why minors aren't able to consent but they are able to consent to puberty blockers at the age of 6. That's a different conversation though.

I love that we live in a world where we won't allow a child to get a tattoo without parental permission but we're supposed to be ok with them choosing to take medication that will permanently damage their bodies.
