She will be one of the leaders but not 'the' leader. And her character will play a lot better in the cosmic movies as she is hilariously overpowered.
I’m disappointed that they are trying to make Captain Marvel the focus of the next phase of Marvel movies.
There could be something there if they do a story about Rogue and Captain Marvel's powers though, it'd be an interesting way to help bridge the X-Men in and present a real hurdle for a seemingly godlike character.
Otherwise I agree that she's unworthy of the spot. It'll be interesting to see how much Marvel maps out for everyone after Endgame.

We're all just grasping at straws here, Feige says that but we have no idea what the implications of that are. In the next 3 years we're almost definitely going to be getting at least the following,
Spider-Man 2
Venom 2 with Tom Holland
GotG 3
BP 2
Doctor Strange 2
Avengers 5
Captain Marvel 2
Ant-Man 3
X-Men reboot
FF reboot
Black Widow prequel
How much room is there for her to dominate or come close to a Downey-level role? She has one movie here in this slate, there's not much to worry about, she'll likely share the spot with Panther, Strange, Spider-Man.

You confident about Sony and Marvel striking a deal regarding Venom?
