As far as dress, you dress up for the job you want. Make it easy for the interviewing committee to see you in the position. If other VP’s are wearing suits and ties, I’d wear a suit and tie.

What about a tuxedo? :D

I been with the same company for 25+ years, and I only answer to the owner. Every promotion I have had, it was offered to me...No interviews...

I even turned down a pretty big general manager position way back when mainly because I would have had to relocate to the san Jose area...

Yes, that is good advice, my esteemed colleague.

John Delorean did not dress like his conservative bosses (he wore stylish double breasted Italian suits) and that rubbed some in his industry the wrong way.

I wonder if Atti's black boss will give him a good reference? I wonder if what she would think of him if she was monitoring his Anger General posting?

Good luck with this "new job" opportunity.

:P
I had applied internally for the job a while back. I only received the call back last week.

Yep. I hear you.

Convenient timing, indeed. I'm sure there's a 100% chance you'll land this "VP" gig and no longer be working for a female boss who hovers over you checking your online search history.

Was she a VP by the way?

Well at least Abe has moved on from beating the "sex schedule" and "upskirt photos" horses to death and started walloping the "female boss" one? :noidea:

I'm not saying Ati deserves "beatings and beheadings" or anything... and we could simply ignore it while he ups the ante more and more and more until his special kind of rhetoric becomes the norm around here...

Or we can have some fun to remind everybody about the silliness of his online character...

Meh. Sounds like ok advice, I guess. But everything I learned about the corporate game... I learned from a late 90s thespian, iconic genius and eventual chairman of the bored who took American business into the red.

He fit in by standing out.

I don't know what's more bizarre Karl giving Atti fashion advice or Atti already having his wardrobe picked out

I’ve been an HR professional for almost 12 years now. It’s not fashion advice. It’s interviewing advice.

So this was not about Fashion? Were you talking about his resume? :susp:
