LeBron barely beat an injured warriors team without KD...that team would get owned in the 90s...and.jordan had to overcome the Celtics and Lakers and Pistons...and those suns and magic and Sonics..all.would be considered super teams in Lebrons eraBush4Ever. wrote:If you think he's the GOAT, he's obviously Top 5. Lmao. Yeah as in #1 but I’m sure you know that
Jordan landed zero punches on the uber teams of his era. Nothing but failure after failure.elartman1973 wrote:
Every team.back then had to pay thier dues..in this era they just collude and that part of the process is.eliminated and the winning is so less worthy or impressive
Lebron landed one big haymaker KO on his.
That's the difference. And it's objectively correct and beyond debate.

Okay.Deez wrote:
It’s far from irrelevant. If he’s not favored against those celtics than why even act like it matters?
So Lebron receives no discredit for any Finals except the 2011 Finals, correct?
That was the only Finals he lost where he was favored.

Heat weren’t favored any other time but that one finals? Surprising. How many favored playoff series did Lebron lose and Jordan lose?Bush4Ever. wrote:Okay.Deez wrote:

Jordan got emasculated against the Celtics. Six straight losses.elartman1973 wrote:

Jordan never faced the Showtime Lakers.
Jordan ended his career 1-3 against the Bad Boy Pistons in the playoffs (series).
1-5 in playoff series against the Celtics and Pistons, and a NA against the Showtime Lakers.
Wow...what a giant-slayer.
Wait until the giants get crippled and die of old age, and then sneak into the castle.

Are you being obtuse on purpose? The 3 was barely part of the game, mostly on spot ups and the vast majority of the game was played within 18 feet of the basket. Shot tracking data is available. Look it up.bulls419 wrote:Grizz, please list "empirical evidence" that says otherwise. Before listing, google the definition of empirical evidence.vcsgrizzfan wrote:Empirical evidence says otherwise. Jordan overcame all those teams..that's what the real NBA is about..not about colluding and not having any obstacles...overcoming obstacle makes.Jordan ten times the player lebron is....and don't even bring up fluke 2016...Bush4Ever. wrote:Jordan got emasculated against the Celtics. The Heat were actually underdogs in 2012 against the Thunder (barely), and favorites in 2013, and then very slight underdogs against the Spurs in 2014 (although the Spurs won in a way that the odds would not have suggested).
Obviously, the Cavs were underdogs each time out against the Warriors.

No, he literally didn't.elartman1973 wrote:
Jordan overcame all those teams.
He didn't beat the Celtics at all. He didn't even face the "real" Showtime Lakers in the first place.
He beat the Pistons one time out of four, when Detroit had meaningfully declined (going from a title to 50 wins and the 9th best SRS in the league).
To his credit, he ruled the dead and giantless NBA with a strong hand. But you don't need to rewrite history.
When the giants roamed the NBA, Jordan didn't do shit. Again, that's a factual matter. Not an opinion.

LeBron shit the bed in 2011. No one can deny that with a straight face.
Jordan has no title wins against a team close to what LeBron won against in 2016. No one can deny that with a straight face.

An assertion does not a fact make. Sorry bud. Jordan barely squeaked by some really mediocre Knick teams. You only want to remember what you want to remember wearing your rose colored glasses.Deez wrote:Cool but Jordan’s bulls would shit all over that cavs team.vcsgrizzfan wrote:LeBron shit the bed in 2011. The league has changed and while the 1996 Bulls were built to succeed in 1996, they aren't built to succeed in today's NBA.
It's not a complex argument to follow.

Deez needs give up, he's getting killed ITT.

Say what you want, you would be a huge idiot if you think those bulls don’t beat the Cavs. You aren’t that stupid, are you Grizz? You’d be laughing joke if you said otherwise to anyone who has watched or played the sport.vcsgrizzfan wrote:An assertion does not a fact make. Sorry bud. Clinging to heroes is a strange human trait. Games evolve. Sports evolve. Why is admitting that so difficult?
Twenty years from now, the game and skills will have evolved in a direction we don't see yet. We didn't see the game as it is now 15 years ago AT ALL.
It is a natural process that shouldn't be hard to accept.
