I do contend that Kareem is the greatest basketball player of all time.
Kobe is more accomplished than Jordan in some categories (although I challenge you to find a post where I have stated that "Kobe is better than Jordan".) However, the numbers back up that they are highly similar.

There were many fantastic players both before, during, and after.
